Palagina la Dimora

Driving up the long driveway through the line of cypress trees looking at the view of the grape vineyards and olive groves gave me all the "Tuscan feels". After watching "Under the Tuscan Sun" many, many times I had a vision in my head of what Tuscany would look like, this Villa and grounds did not disappoint. Our room was on the third floor. If you are not a fan of stairs, you might want to request a first floor room. The villa was so authentic with it's decor, stone floors and stairs. They had a lovely library with plenty of books and the most lovely chandelier. The trip down to the breakfast area was lovely. The smell of the lobby was delicious! The restaurant view was AMAZING! We had breakfast every morning. The staff was wonderful, especially the barista..so very nice. The buffet was good, yet the same everyday. We had dinner most nights at the restaurant as well. Menu was limited and food was average but the view was wonderful. The evening staff was very nice, especially Sofia. The olive oil made on site was extremely delicious. We had several bottles shipped back home and enjoy it daily. The peace felt at this villa was absolutely mesmerizing.

Inesperienza, imperizia e imprudenza, totale assenza della direzione e del personale in caso di bisogno. Per COLPA loro ( struttura non illuminata all’esterno) sono caduta fracassandomi le costole su di un gradino NON ILLUMINATO il sabato 2/11/24 alle ore 19:45 e nonostante mi abbiano consigliato in reception un ospedale dove andare, la direzione ha negato che li avessi informati. Nonostante il loro ristorante mi abbia fornito più buste di ghiaccio, la direzione ha negato di essere stata informata. Nonostante il mio avvocato abbia scritto alla loro assicurazione dopo un paio di giorni, la risposta è arrivata dopo un mese. Il sopralluogo sul gradino in questione è stato fatto di mattina ( la caduta è avvenuta alle 19:45 ora solare) e l’assicurazione non ha neanche voluto controllare le telecamere. Struttura da chiudere. Totale disinteresse dell’incolumità e della sicurezza degli ospiti.

Had an amazing time at Palagina. The grounds were absolutely stunning and the rooms clean. A small few things they could focus on is giving the rooms a bit of a face lift as they do seem dated and improve ventilation in the bathrooms to avoid the mold. Also screens on the windows so you can open them without the worry of bugs getting in. Enjoyed eating at the restaurant and loved the wine/wine tour. I would definitely recommend.
