Lemon Tree Stay

Voor mij de t****e maal dat ik hier logeer (eerste maal in 2019). Nog steeds is er een prima service met uitstekend ontbijt maar de prijs-kwaliteit vehouding is nu een beetje uit balans. Op dit moment vond ik de prijzen aan de hoge kant, Ik had nu de standaard kamer met patio en alles was er en werkte prima. Alleen, net als de eerste keer, is de verlichting niet helder wat de kamer nogal een donkere sombere aanblik geeft. Ik ben in de avond rond 22 u gearriveerd en via een self-check-in binnen gekomen. Dit werkt prima en bespaart je de 30 euro die gevraagd wordt wanneer je een persoonlike ontvangst wenst. De locatie is werkelijk fantastisch net als de vriendelijkheid van het personeel.

Meine Freundin und ich verbrachten mit Zuge unserer Portugalreise 2 Nächte im Lemon Tree Stay. Zimmer: Das Zimmer war geräumig und perfekt sauber, ideal für zwei Reisende mit zwei Koffern. Die Einrichtung sowie die kleine Terrasse laden zum Wohlfühlen ein. Lage: Das Lemon Tree Stay liegt direkt vor der Altstadt von Faro, Cafés, Restaurants oder der Hafen sind fußläufig nach kürzester Zeit erreichbar. Kostenpflichtige Parkplätze sind vor Ort problemlos auffindbar. Frühstück & Gastfreundschaft: Die Gastfreundschaft ist der Hauptgrund sich hier wohl zufühlen. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und hilfsbereit, bei Ankunft wurde uns direkt einiges zu Faro erklärt und ein Ausflug auf die benachbarten Inseln für den nächsten Tag organisiert. Beim Frühstück merkt man ebenfalls, dass den Hosts das Wohlergehen der Gäste wichtig ist. Frisches Obst, Eier, Brot, Joghurt und sehr guter Filterkaffee bieten eine ideale Grundlage für einen guten Start in den Tag. Alles in allem eine klare Empfehlung meinerseits!

Fantastic location with access to the centre within minutes. The hotel doesn’t have parking but has a public parking (Saba) literally a few minutes away which was convenient. The hotel is beautiful aesthetically, I love the modern twist and the theme of lemons running throughout. The hosts were also good and very friendly, including their doggy. However, I was super disappointed that my room was crawling with ants. I let the host know and his response was very much ‘it’s that time of the year’. They did then spray the room but all the dead ants remained on the floor and walls. Really off-putting and ruined my stay with them unfortunately.

Ein sehr schönes kleines Hotel gerade neben dem Stadtzentrum. Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Mitarbeiter. Es hat auch eine aufgeräumte saubere Küche, bei welcher man sich bedienen darf (Bier, Icecream etc). Die Zimmer sind sauber und bestens ausgestattet. Grosser Pluspunkt: Uns wurde sogar ein Take-away Breakfast zubereitet, da wir um 4 Uhr früh zum Flughafen los mussten! Letzten Endes haben wir es bereut, dass wir nur eine Nacht hier gebucht haben!

Starting with the positives. The Lemon Tree is a short walk into the town centre and the marina and Old Town are 10 minutes' walk away. The breakfast is a mouth watering selection of fresh fruit, cold meats and local breads. Good coffee too. On the downside. If like us you're quite senior and arrive too late for a normal check in then the self check in is not recommended. Insufficient lighting on timers make finding your room not only difficult but positively dangerous due to poorly lit steps. Unfortunately both our rooms looked out onto bare walls. We had expected some natural light gived the room rate we paid. All things considered we were disappointed and relieved we were only booked in for 2 nights. We won't be returning .

We stayed five nights in this lovely little hotel in Faro town. It’s ideally placed for restaurants and the old town and a short bus / boat ride to the beaches. Coming in April meant the town wasn’t too busy and we were able to enjoy our stay without having to jostle for space which I imagine you would have to do in peak season. The hotel is a lovely little find and is spotlessly clean with well decorated rooms, albeit the one we stayed in was compact and bijou with storage comprising of a few coat hangers. As you only use the room to sleep in - the beds are very comfortable - the lack of storage wasn’t an issue for us. The breakfasts included in the price were delicious: fresh fruit, four types of bread, granola / yoghurt and eggs washed down with coffee / tea and orange juice and made the stay fantastic value for money. The people working in the hotel were always happy and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if we were to return to Faro.
