"This hotel should be reclassified… not a 4 star by any means. The staff were inattentive, especially at breakfast ( coffee was the only thing which wasn’t self service and my goodness the hassle to ask for a coffee, get the attention of the waitress etc wasn’t worthwhile. Our room was tired, actually exhausted, paintwork shabby, bed basic, old pictures, poor lighting. We stayed three nights and the wheelie bin below our balcony remained on its side for our whole visit with its contents hanging out. The hotel needs refurbishment, they should be ashamed of the breakfast offered,it surely doesn’t take a lot to have fresh bread rather than warmed up hard rolls and no butter. Weirdly the hotel is obviously a food hotspot in the evening with a bustling restaurant so they can do something good… but not for hotel guests."

"Average business hotel. No solution that makes you say WOW. details in the room that in my opinion do not deserve 4 stars (inside of the broken wardrobe-garden sofa used as a piece of furniture) Breakfast without particular good pieces, without praise and without infamy. The only negative note: staff at the reception devoid of any initiative: only after a lot of insistence for information on a nearby rent car were they redirected us to a presumable Maggiore office next to Saipem (a company opposite the hotel). Too bad it hasn't existed for 4 years. Modern hotel suitable for short, unpretentious stays that can improve customer relations"

"At end of September my wife and I spent a wonderful eight days at Palazzo Rotati in Fano. Although described as a boutique hotel, it was actually much more than that. We had essentially an apartment with a separate dining room where we were served fresh breakfasts each day at a time of our choice, as well as a sitting area, kitchenette - and a balcony terrace that looked out over the rooftops of the renaissance town... The Palazzo is centrally located in Fano, which is a small and compact yet fascinating town, ringed by ancient walls, with lovely piazzas and museums and many good dining opportunities. It's also handily on the coastal rail line, with several interesting places in easy day-trip range. Our rooms at the Palazzo were kept beautifully clean and Gabriela, the owner, was responsive to our every need. I understand she is now thinking of hosting cooking classes for those staying with her - which, given the delicious lunch she cooked for us, would be well worth looking out for !"

"Just outside Fano, a nearly perfect hotel. The rooms are very characteristic, with exposed beams and rustic terracotta floors. The bathrooms are very clean and have new fixtures, shower stalls, and faucets. The young couple who run it are welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. The breakfast is worthy of much more expensive hotels, with delicious homemade cakes, fresh fruit, excellent croissants, and a generous savoury selection. To be honest, otherwise it sounds like a friendly review: access to the rooms is via stairs (but I didn't ask if there's an elevator available for those who might have difficulty) and the mattress is a bit soft. But just to nitpick. Excellent."
