The Overlook Guesthouse is a gated 815 square foot studio plus 276 square foot porch with 1,110 square foot deck (2,201 total sq ft of outdoor/indoor living) with a private driveway completed in 2023. Large marble island, kitchenette with marble countertops, queen size bed plus comfortable full size futon bed, desk, and table. Nestled behind a gate, this Casita has views from the Bay Bridge to the San Mateo Bridge, mountain views, and a view of San Francisco. Quiet, secure, and very private including your own private yard. Your closest neighbor will be approximately 200 feet away. This is a very quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors including law enforcement officials who are often seen outside washing their vehicles or BBQing with their families. We are 10 mins from BART and 10 mins from Cal State East Bay. We live in the main home approximately 200 feet away. The lot has 24/7 video recording on premises which is monitored to detect unwanted parties/events, and we are available anytime for any issues that may arise. Maximum four guest allowed. Additional guest require a charge of $25 per person per night. No smoking/no parties/events. $1,500 fee for violating smoking rule or having a party/event. The studio Casita sits on top of 1.4 acres. The lot is divided by a deer fence. The main house sits on 20,000+ square feet while the guesthouse sits on a separate 30,000+ square foot lot. -Enjoy 50" HDTV with free YouTube, Roko, or Xfinity. -Enjoy free coffee/Toaster -Eletric hot water kettle -Iron/Ironing board -Hairdryer -Wifi (which is spotty) -Plenty of free parking -Work/study area -Views of San Francisco, Oakland, San Leandro, Castro Valley, Hayward, the Bay, and more. -Body wash/Shampoo/Conditioner Parking is available inside the gate or, for vehicles with a low clearance, right outside the gate; upon entry there is a steep stair case. We felt welcomed. Very beautiful view. Everything was very clean. The silverware was only fir two to three guests and the futon bed was for two people quite uncomfortable. We would come back at another time.

The most perfect stay with my family while visiting family in the Bay Area. The property is extremely convenient to anything and everything. Private. The views were incredible from the awesome deck. We would definitely love to stay again! Thank you Z!— the Harris Fam.

Towel issues The area and view was breathtaking. The most important things such as, bedding and toiletries could use lots of improvement. Bedding was horrible, old blankets and pillows. Pillows were horrible.. Bed was pretty hard. Futon was very hard also. Towels and wash cloths were the worst I’ve ever used in a rental. The smell on the towels were horrible. The wash cloths were dark in color with bleach stains. I could not believe this beautiful rental lacked so much in blankets, and towels. The towels did not even wrap around my body, they were so little and OLD!!!

Wonderful Stay!! The view from this property is absolutely beautiful!! Waking up to that view every day was a true blessing!! Also, everything was just as described and very clean and well maintained. The hosts were wonderful and very quick to respond to our questions. Would definitely stay here again!!

Fabulous Stay* This is the 2nd time I have stayed on this property. The owners are wonderful to work with. The property is quiet, clean, organized and the pictures do not do it justice! Very large welcoming space inside and the outdoor wrap around deck is heaven. The views are picturesque. I will definitely stay here again.
