Courtyard Fairfield Napa Valley Area

Service was very good. Place is centrally located in Fairfield, not far from Jelly Bean factory and multiple restaurants in walking distance. The rest of it is rather average.

Excellent customer service, staff was very helpful & understanding. The place was very clean. The bedding, the bathrooms and floors were very clean. My wife and I enjoyed our stay. 😀

This should not be a Marriott hotel. Front desk staff was not empowered to resolve my issue - serious multiple plumbing defects - until the GM arrived (which wasn’t even by 9am), I was told later that the GM would not be arriving that morning after all. Moving is to a room with working hot water is all I asked. A normal Marriott would have walked me to another property with working hot water. Or comped the room. Nobody called me from the hotel, so I called Marriott Corporate. Updates as I have them.

I am a Bonvoy member, was on business travel and had booked a State government rate as I have done over the past 20 years. Upon check-in when presenting my State ID, they questioned whether or not the University of California was a State agency. Then I was told they did not offer a State government rate at the hotel but they would honor the Federal rate just this once. Weird, as I have since reviewed their website and yes they do offer a State rate, but what the heck it was 11:00 p.m. I just wanted to go to bed. The room was meh, needed updates but the bathroom...... was claustrophobic, I am 5'2 and could touch the ceiling. I could barely turn around it was so tight. The AC sounded like an airplane but I was so tired I was able to sleep. I checked out the next morning at 7:30 a.m. 2 days after my stay I received a phone call from this Marriott indicating I had left something in the closet, which I had not as I dressed from my suitcase, never accessed the closet and did not own the item they claimed I left. They were very unprofessional and rude with this interaction. There are plenty of other Marriott properties in the region where I have been treated as a valued Bonvoy business customer. I will never, never stay here again due to the condition of the rooms/bathroom and poor customer service. I hope management will make an effort to train their staff to provide the Marriott standard of customer service I and other business travelers are accustomed to.

Comfy enough beds in room. Modern decorations though the 'update' is pretty much bare minimum. Fridge and microwave in room. Some items in bathroom need more thought in the design ; a) faucet has the water saving nozzle, but the jets are too intense, thus water sprays out of the basin b) shampoo, conditioner and shower gel bottles located near shower head is pretty inconvenient, especially for those below 5' 5". c) towel hook behind door is of poor quality and design. Towel will drop off hook, if door is opened with more than a gentle action Fitness room is spacious, adequately equipped, could do with another machine, given all that space. Breakfast at the bistro has some good options, recommend the Breakfast bowl, good healthy option. Starbucks coffee served. Location is good, with several food options available.

Por temas laborales tuve que alojarme 10 días en este hotel. Las habitaciones son cómodas, con una internet gratis con velocidad aceptable. Posee un pequeño restaurant que ofrece desayuno y en la noche platos rápidos como merienda. La atención de los empleados es muy buena. Lo único malo es que la habitación donde me hospedero daba hacía una autopista por lo que había bastante ruido. Las habitaciones contaban con cafetera y microondas.

I read a lot of the reviews before I booked this hotel and after staying here for two weeks it makes me question if some of the positive reviews were from people who actually stayed here. First, the air conditioning did not work. It would kick on and off constantly during the two week stay. I asked the front desk to send someone up to look at it, but it was never fixed. This is a common issue with several reviews for this hotel. The refrigerator is a small 18” by 18” and it’s placed directly on the floor. So if you want to put something in or get something out you’ll have to lay on the floor to do it. Impossible for elderly people to do this let alone someone very young. No internet access in the room. Does not matter if you have a code or are hotel loyalty member, it does not connect. The mattresses is wore out. My wife and I flipped it, but it did not make it ant better. The elevator is extremely small and slow. There is only one elevator to access the guest floors and it’s frustratingly slow. The positives, the staff is nice, parking is adequate and the location is centralized. Service of the rooms is only ever other day and you have to request new towels if you want them. So I stayed there on business for two weeks, I wish I could have stayed at another hotel but the company I worked for booked it here so I had no option. If I did, I would have gladly paid more to have a nicer hotel all the way around. It was a very disappointing experience and I would not stay here again. My advice: do your homework before you stay at this property, Marriott’s are generally not this bad, but this particular hotel needs to be updated very badly.

Close to the I80, in a business area. Some restaurants nearby. Middle class hotel, modern and comfortable. Ample parking space. No free hot breakfast but an over the counter restaurant ‘The Bistro’. Rooms ok. Has a 24-hour fitness center.

Very easy and pleasant check in. Room appointed nicely and comfortable. Comfortable beds and bedding. Quiet except for early morning freeway noise. No free breakfast but a Dennys was right next door. Many food options within walking distance.
