The Devoncourt Resort

I’m always happy with the leisure centre and spa, however the place isn’t really that well looked after and def not new. There was a noise all night that seemed to have to do with the ventilation system or something. It’s not the first time I stayed here so pretty sure it had to do with the location of the specific room I stayed at 122

This was very relaxing the pool and facilities were very good… the staff member Manuel was very helpful and polite… we also had the cream tea, which was very delicious… we have a nice time would definitely recommend to have a nice relaxing time..

We drove for four hours to a wedding hoping to have a base for a few days,the reviews and the pictures gave us the impression of a clean modern hotel,and we thought for the price it was a bargain...wrong.Soon as you pull into the carpark you know what sort of place it is...everything needs work doing to it,from the walls of the carpark to the paint peeling off the guttering. The inside was the same,tired,dusty,broken or worn out. This had nothing on the room we were given,the carpets where burnt and marked the furniture looked as it had been salvaged from a skip and the walls looked like someone had spent the spitting up them....all of it filthy and smelly. We complained got a choice of two other rooms and chose one with a leather sofa ( simply because it looked in newish condition,and we could use antiseptic wipes to clean it). To cut a long story short,thankfully a pre wedding pub crawl meant I could pass out on the couch for the night and after a woefully poor shower checked out first thing. This hotel is a traditional spa hotel with gym facilities, and both indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools set amid beautiful landscaped gardens , with tennis courts, pitch and put golf, and a croquet lawn . The extensive south facing sea views are unrivalled in Exmouth , and set in a quiet residential area, 3 mins from the sea & beach . Many rooms have balconies, and sea views , and there are larger suites with lounge and kitchenette facilities available. In winter , the hotel is warm and cosy, with friendly & helpful, management & staff . An excellent Breakfast, can be taken in a large airy dining room, with open sea views, and superb Sunday Carvery is served , together with afternoon tea, bar meals , and drinks, right through the day . The needs of Couples, Families, and Senior Citizens, are all well attended to . You are assured a warm welcome at this , beautifully situated hotel evidenced by the many “ faithfull “ guests, who return again , and again , to visit this endearing part of the UK.

We are from Exmouth and it was our 14th wedding anniversary So decided too you've had the go for a spa day and afternoon tea the service was amazing.we had a lovely day and sandwiches and cakes were great too. We will be telling our friends and family. Thank you.

Fantastic hotel, that has a great location with lovely food and views. The staff were lovely. We had a suite that was really really nice, what made it even better,it was a surprise upgrade. We pre booked an afternoon tea that we had on the Saturday, that was splendid, too much to eat in one go, so we took it to go (back to our apartment) and we are more than likely going to have it for our lunch tomorrow! we would recommend to friends and family and are looking forward to coming back! We have had breakfast throughout our stay, i would recommend pre booking as you get it cheaper. Beautiful day here! Used the gym, steam room and swimming pool. To top it all off there is an outdoor pool. Lovely staff and amazing facilities. Very happy. The restaurant looks very lovely thanks for the amazing service devoncourt team. You are amazing x

Overnight stay for husband's birthday. All staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was dated but large and clean. Lovely sea view. We enjoyed the carvery and breakfast was good too. All inall the hotel is good value for money and we will return.

My husband and I went to the Devoncourt on a Sunday afternoon for an afternoon tea. The excellent service started when we were greeted at the door upon arrival and were shown to our table, which was located in the conservatory overlooking the pretty garden and with a sea view. The afternoon tea consisted of a good selection of freshly made sandwiches, cakes and scones. Luckily a box was provided to take away leftovers! It was a lovely afternoon and would recommend to others. Would have been a five star but the hotel could do with a bit of a refurbishment.
