Premier Inn Exeter Central St Davids

The staff were very helpful and professional, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely recommend this Exeter Premier Inn.

An ok hotel very near the train station. They were very short staffed just 2 staff running reception and the restaurant, also very strangely the staff told us not to have their baby cot as poor quality. Appreciate the honesty but would recommend this is sorted

Stayed two nights. Room very well and IMO recently [re-]fitted out, ample space even for normal room, everything worked, towels etc. all clean and fluffy, easy check in and out. Dined in the hotel the second night as we had an early flight out, and this was good too especially on their inclusive dinner and breakfast deal.

Very comfortable stay. Room was very clean and in a quiet location. Friendly check in and out and evening staff at bar/food service was exceptional. Food was adequate but a lot of missing items and no pizzas whatsoever the night I stayed. Breakfast staff could have had a bit more enthusiasm. When I went down there was no one there so I found a table and was going to make staff aware once I spotted them. I was told off and told under no circumstances must I take a seat without being seen first. Breakfast was paid for, I'm guessing they had many chancing a freebie perhaps? But from then on I just felt uncomfortable. The coffee machine kicks out barely lukewarm drinks, staff said that's just how it is. And the toaster took ten mins to toast bread. Other than that the rest of breakfast was alright. But if you're simply looking for a bed and room for the night it's the most comfortable one I've had in Exeter and I've stayed in a fair few in the area. Plus it's right next to the railway station

Excellent location, directly opposite the train station. Friendly ,smiley and helpful staff. The room was very clean and had all necessary facilities. We were able to leave bags in storage before and after our stay. Brilliant breakfast- very good value for money.

I’ll start with the good points - the rooms were clean and in a good location for the train station. However the hotel is also situated just down from a busy pub, and the patrons will walk past the hotel after last call singing/shouting. The internet is terrible - you have to pay £5/day to have decent internet to even browse social media and send emails. The reason I scored it so low overall is because this hotel is not safe for solo female travellers - due to the staff. I checked in and decided to freshen up in my room, when a member of staff used their key card and waltzed into my room, without a knock and without a chance for me to object. Their excuse was they didn’t realise someone was in the room. It was very unnerving. I would not stay here or at a premier inn again.
