Grand Central Hotel

We arrived on a Tuesday evening. The man at the front desk let us know the office would be closed on Wednesday and if we need anything we need to call the sister hotel The New Orleans. If in need of fresh towels we’ll just call the New Orleans hotel and they will bring them Thursday. No cable but they do have Hulu and Disney + never did find local channels. Restaurant is closed as well as the bar. The WiFi works. Room is nice except for whatever is leaving in the wall that makes noise most of the night. The first night I thought creaking in the floors or walls. Nope it’s 4 in the morning and I have been waken by whatever creature is in the walls. There appears to be 3 floors and it’s all stairs no elevator. So would I do this again. No. Apparently we need to stay at the New Orleans for the room to be attended to, bar and restaurant as well as hopefully a peaceful night sleep. Just one more night here and home to rest.

My daughter and I snuck away for a weekend and booked a king suite at this location. They hooked us up with a rollaway bed so we didn’t have to share a bed (my daughter is a little too old for all that lol). The room was exquisite. Victorian style. The beds-SO COMFORTABLE! And I have to give Chris props-from the moment he checked us in to the last minute we saw him he was giving recommendations, taking time to talk to us, making us feel comfortable and well taken care of. I don’t come to Eureka enough, but I will hands down stay here every time from now on. What a wonderful establishment and the location is PERFECT. We were able to just walk everywhere!

I see some old restaurant reviews. Well, they have gotten beyond that training. 6 of us 10/15/22. I had ribeye steak with potato and wonderful sauce. Shrimp appetizer was to die for. Two others had the Filet, loved it they said. Two had the ginormous half chicken and loved it. One had grilled chicken salad. Great he said! Wine good, atmosphere outstanding with jazz guitarist gary mitchel smith. We had nothing bad to say. So the old comments didn’t apply our night!

The Grand Central Hotel was perfectly located in the historical area of Eureka Springs. The fact they have a large parking lot right next to the hotel made access very easy. We enjoyed the historical beauty inside and out. Our room (203) was spacious and included a large wrap-around balcony. The large jetted tub was surprisingly big enough to easily accommodate two people side by side. The shower pressure was the best we have ever experienced, making it especially luxurious. Their restaurant came highly recommended, but unfortunately was temporarily closed.

This historic hotel is located right down town. Easy parking. Our room was HUGE! Clean! Ice maker right in the room! My husband loved the 65 inch tv in the ‘living room’ area. The ‘old lady’ (Halloween costume). Was MOST helpful…we even got to check in a bit earlier than 3. This place is definitely a hidden lil gem in plain sight! We can’t wait to come back!!!

We recently stayed at the Grand Central and had a wonderful time! The rooms are very large and well appointed. Very very clean and comfortable! We really enjoyed the huge TV and the spa tub. The location is amazing and within walking distance of all the downtown shops and attractions. Can’t wait to stay here again!!
