Pateo Dos Solares Charm Hotel

Peaceful place, in an historic building, wonderful view from the hill to the castle walls and city. Book upper floors rooms. Very clean and comfortable. The pool area is comfortable, grass floor, umbrellas and chairs available. Breakfast is ok, enough choices. Indoor room, wish it would have seating outside.

Great location not too far from the downtown of Estremoz. Staff very helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast Very quiet rooms.

I just spent a lovely weekend here with a friend. We both loved our first floor rooms with the round windows. Totally charming. We also both enjoyed the convivial and comfortable lounge area both evenings. Breakfast was excellent. I commend the staff for the service we received, including a couple of small but tricky things they helped with. Thanks so much!

We spent a long weekend at Pateo dos Solares, a very hot weekend with temperatures around 38 degrees C., so the focus point was the very nice pool, with a very nice garden surrounding. It felt great. The room was good, comfortable and quiet, althiugh the bathroom could benefit from getting some more modern amenities. Good sleep quality beds too. The breakfast buffet was also very good, offering a wide variety of choices, The room is probably slightly smaller than it should. Overall we really enjoyed the stay at Pateo dos Solares and would probably go back next time we go to Estremoz

Hotel muito agradável, sossegado, quarto amplo, limpo, com mini-bar. Piscina e jardim. Pequeno-almoço bom e com variedade q.b. numa sala com um certo requinte. Tem SPA, mediante marcação prévia. Se quisermos comer fora de horas, não têm serviço de snack-bar como tostas/pizzas ou outros snacks, como costuma haver em outros hotéis de 4 estrelas.

Espaço bonito e agradável, no entanto a experiência não foi positiva. O quarto onde ficamos tinha um aspecto muito antiquado e em nada se parecia com as fotos publicadas, o papel higiénico de uma péssima qualidade , em nada se assemelha com um hotel de 4 estrelas. No entanto o nos levou a Estremoz foi viver a experiência de um fim de semana tranquilo e calmo e comemorar um aniversário, foi enviado um e-mail antecipadamente com o pedido de um bolo de aniversário, em momento algum esse email mereceu atenção pois nem respondido foi, além de que obtive a informação que foi recebido. Falei com a receção no sentido de saber se de facto haveria essa possibilidade foi-me dito que sim mas o bolo nunca apareceu. Muita falta de atenção para com os clientes, experiência a não repetir, não recomendo

First of all, there is a HUGE difference between the photos posted and the actual rooms (my room did not look anything like the ones in the pictures). Inside the room: he furniture was skimpy and old, the bathroom hasn't been refurbished for ages and there were almost no amenities (just a solid soap + a small bottle of some sort of syrup which did not clean anything). The closets were full of dust and mites. Outside of the room: the carpets were absolutely filthy. The outside patio is only being used for the pictures posted on the website. The metal tables thereof are left dirty and are never used for serving breakfast (breakfast is served inside, in a closed room). Breakfast: only industrial, low quality products. The worst coffee I have ever tasted. Swimming pool: it is much too small for the number of people present. The whole village is using it (it is understandable, given the hot summer weather, but unfair for the paying customers of the hotel). I did not get to use it at all, I gave priority to the village kids who were enjoying it. Location: the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. There is one castle to visit (if you find it open) and that's about it. No activities, no attractions, no culture, no shops. Staff: only one person at the reception spoke other languages than Portuguese (and she was not present all the time). It is complicated (impossible) for foreign clients to ask for anything. Conclusion: the quality/price ratio is one of the worst I have ever experienced. I understand that it is a rural structure and it's complicated to manage it properly, but in that case the (unrealistic) price should reflect this. The place needs a serious make-over in order to be brought closer to the (completely fake) image projected on its website.

Claramente não é um hotel de 4 estrelas, em absolutamente nada. Decoração muito pobre e sem gosto, o quarto parecia de um convento franciscano, escuro e despojado de qualquer conforto. A casa de banho escura e a banheira minúscula. As funcionarias da recepção são pouco simpáticas roçando o arrogante! À chegada o ênfase era que não podíamos ter o carro parado à entrada quando dissemos que era apenas para descarregar as malas; à saída cobraram 2€ por uma garrafa de água 0,20. Não me lembro do último hotel onde não houvesse uma garrafa de litro de água, em vidro, de CORTESIA!! Pequeno almoço suficiente mas de novo longe de um 4 estrelas! A não repetir
