But we were served ONE breakfast (a tiered stand with small individual appetizers, one of each type) and we were told that we could order more if that wasn't enough. This meant that every item on the tiered stand automatically became a polite gesture because no one wanted to eat the others' food. Despite our doubts being expressed several times, we stayed that way. We were actually billed for 4 breakfasts at EUR 36.00 each. The mood was completely ruined, and many people still consider "ordering more" to be inappropriate. This is exactly how they make money here. If I pay for four breakfasts, I want to get four breakfasts."
