Lovely place with lovely hosts/manager… Rooms were decent sized and clean the and toilet was also clean. Hot shower during cold December really helps Very conveniently located to get to the old city walls but pretty much the main area of Essaouira is within walking distance regardless. Really glad we chose this place.

Had a 2 night stay here & cannot fault the service offered by Youssef & the team. They make you feel so at home. Our room was amazing, spotlessly clean & spacious. Breakfast was very good, All the staff were so friendly. Highly recommend this Riad if travelling to Essaouira. Keep up the amazing work, we will be recommending this Riad to all our friends

Abbiamo soggiornato al Riad Dar Maya nella fantastica suit Tignna. Stanza con camino e con balcone privato di ampie dimensioni così come il bagno, divinamente arredati, stupende le rifiniture in tadelakt. La stanza dava su una zona giorno con camino anch'essa stupenda e con ampia vetrata con affaccio sul giardino centrale. Fantastica anche la terrazza soprastante con stupendo panorama sui tetti di Essaouira e sull'oceano. Ottima colazione e staff disponibile e cordiale, in primis Youssef, il manager della struttura che si è messo a nostra disposizione per organizzare il trasporto bagagli dalla Bab Marrakech al riad e per organizzare il transfer da Essaouira a Marrakech. A due passi dalla Mellah e dalla Sqala della Kasbah. Pienamente soddisfatti del nostro soggiorno!

Amazing stay thank you. Very clean, a warm welcome, knowledgeable staff, lovely breakfast & the whole place smelt amazing! Spent some time in the hot tub & on the roof terrace, nothing seemed to be too much trouble to make our stay perfect. Thank you for Andrew’s birthday flowers also. Thanks to everyone that made our stay so peaceful.

Just returned from fabulous 5 day trip to Essaouira, having stayed in the wonderful Dar Maya riad. This stylish boutique riad was perfect for us, we particularly loved our very spacious room, which despite overlooking Central courtyard, still felt relatively private and quiet . The rooftop is lively space to take in the rooftop vista and relax. The breakfast was plentiful and can be taken anytime it seems, which highlights the excellent focus on customer service you will have here. Yourself and the small team of staff were the epitome of hospitality and professionalism. From the immaculately clean room, rendering our specific breakfast order, to even rescuing us at the last minute , at the crack of dawn, when we realised we had to print out boarding passes.

Magnifique riad avec chambre spacieuse et somptueuse salle de bains. Le petit déjeuner est divin et servi par un jeune homme discret et très sympathique et le top pas d'horaires, on peut déjeuner à 11h si on veut à l'intérieur ou en extérieur ! Le riad est très calme et bien situé dans la médina, vraiment une belle découverte ! Merci aussi à Youssef et aux petites mains de l'ombre.

Overall we found Dar Maya to be a good choice in Essaouira. It is easy to find, safe and clean. The city itself is difficult to explain. Often cities that are a port and fishing village can attract unpleasant elements. Some of this was inescapable within the Medina. Dar Maya is clean and calm, however it is could use some work. The air-conditioning in our room worked well, but outside our bedroom it was disconnected making the room impossible to enjoy. I would also encourage the staff to turn the air-conditioning on prior to guest arrival.

This Riad was good! Breakfast was included and they fed us so well! Our room was at the top, and it was so cool. We had a big round bathtub, that was super unique. We loved that it was in the city walls, so we were super close walking to everything. The manager, Youssef, was awesome! He helped us arrange a taxi to get to the Riad and give us so many recommendations while we were there! The only small thing that I wish was different, was the bed was on the harder side for me. I know that's a personal preference, but other than that our stay was really great! They have a beautiful rooftop to hangout on!

Umwerfend und unvergesslich, top Lage, top Ausstattung & Design, komfortable Zimmer und nicht zuletzt - super freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber! Während wir frühstückten wurden schon die Zimmer aufgeräumt. Tolle Dachterasse. Sehr ruhig und doch zentral in der Medina. Beim nächsten Mal bleiben wir sicherlich länger, 3 Tage sind zu wenig gewesen.
