I stayed at Ginger on the 19th of January and booked two rooms. Once again, the room was spacious and clean, but the customer service was utterly disappointing. From the very beginning, during check-in, I faced negativity, which set the tone for the rest of my stay.
I had ordered food via Swiggy and requested the parcel to be delivered to my doorstep, but the staff rudely refused, citing a policy of not delivering outside food to rooms. Despite my health condition being down, I had to walk down to the reception to collect the food myself. You guys should understand that a customer’s mental and physical condition can be dynamic, especially when dealing with severe conditions. If a person is staying at your hotel and just requests a simple delivery, you should make an effort to understand and accommodate that request.
This would have been understandable if their own food quality were decent. During my previous stay, the food was below average, and I even found a hair in the tea I ordered. When I reported it to the reception, they simply smiled and ignored my complaint. This time, I avoided their food for the same reason but decided to order tea again, and it was very bad—completely undrinkable.
There was one lady at the reception who seemed to have the mind to help and do things right, but unfortunately, the guys were not cooperative at all.
Normally, I don’t write negative reviews, but this experience left me no choice. The consistent negativity, poor service, and lack of quality have made it impossible to overlook. I don’t blame the staff entirely, as it seems they have been trained by the management to act this way.
I expect better service, food quality, and hospitality from a reputed chain like Ginger. This experience was disappointing and frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you value good service and hygienic food.
