We were really looking forward to our stay at Arion based on the glowing reviews for this property and the appearance of their website. We booked it as somewhat of a "splurge" at the end of our trip. However for the price that is charged I don't feel the property lived up to the expectation $$$. The property is somewhat dated in terms of the furnishings in the room and the location is kind of alone, past Asteria Beach and at the top of a Hill. Almost a bit isolated in terms of atmosphere. It felt like you were creeping around the place (almost) being watched every time you came and went, due to the dynamic of the room/s setup. It just feels very old fashioned accommodation and this was not comfortable and lacked that relaxed good feel vibe. The breakfast was very simple especially if you were staying for longer than a couple of nights. The off cuts of bread for toast that exact same bread every day, no barista coffee machine and a lot of sweet stuff on offer. The best part was the fresh fruit/s and yoghurt! Lastly the water charge... Charging for the local Greek water that they stock in the mini bar I think is a bit sad based on the price you pay for the room. All Hotels I have stayed on Greek Islands provide water free of charge! At least a large bottle in the fridge on arrival to get you started. This should have been clear that they charge for this as part of the "mini bar". It's trying to be Boutique but missing the mark...

We couldn't ask for better, from the first to the last minute of our stay at this place. We stayed in the room with the private patio and direct access to the terrace overlooking the sea and the small rocky beach. The friendliness and efficiency of the staff, the good taste in the decoration, the comfort of the room, the silence, the view over the sea, the impeccable cleanliness, the location and the high quality of the breakfast make this hotel a place to return and recommend. Thank you so much for a wonderful 6 days and the sweet gifts!

We had a fantastic vacation in hotel Arion. Absolutely amazing and truly sea relaxing from the first step at the hotel till seing goodbye. The staff, the view, the location, the food, everything was exactly how it's to be. Many thanks from family Kazakov.

Absolutely perfect! There is nothing we would change. This family owned hotel is an oasis of beauty and peace. On top of a cliff, the amazing view from the room is unique. The sound of the sea and the wind acompanies your stay. Depi is willing to help and assist clients in wichever they need. We felt spoiled by the whole family in this paradise.

A family run 6 room boutique hotel at an excellent spot in Syros. Very clean and spacious room , beautiful sea view and a home made breakfast that satisfies all your needs; not to mention the warm and welcoming friendly service that makes you feel hone.

My husband and I stayed in the Pink room at this beautiful boutique hotel for three glorious and relaxing nights. Everything was impeccable from the cleanliness, decor, comfort and most enjoyable for us the stunning views from the windows and balcony. Breakfast was delicious and the staff and family delightful. The Arion was the perfect place to stay and only a short 10 minute walk into the lovely town of Syros.

Our stay at the Arion Boutique Hotel was incredible! Our room had an incredible view overlooking the Mediterranean with a gorgeous balcony where we enjoyed peaceful mornings. Thank you to Depi and staff, the hotel was beautiful and so well maintained. The breakfast was amazing, the best we had in Greece by far. The hotel is in a safe quiet neighborhood that was just a quick walk into the city center. I highly recommend the Arion Hotel, it was such a peaceful and relaxing stay and we talk about how much we miss staying there all the time back at home.

I am amazed that no-one has given a real review of this hotel. The balcony was absolutely stunning but the rest of the facilities were not. There are no 'hotel' facilities at all. No coffee machine in the room and the breakfast was not served until 0830. Often no-one around at Reception to ask any questions as it was only manned at odd hours of the day. Breakfast was ordered the night before and monotonous. The pictures are style over substance. The wi fi would not connect. The place to swim under the hotel is not for the faint hearted as it is just a rocky place not easily entered. OK if you are a confident swimmer but it wasn't good for me. None of the above is a dealbreaker but for the price we paid it should have been better.
