Crystal Mountain Hotels

Whenever we travel as a family, we do our best to remember that we're making memories and experiencing things we'll chat about and laugh about for years to come. Here's the thing - the Alpine Inn isn't the Ritz Carlton, but it is a unique experience in a charming mountain setting, and an experience we'll never forget. My husband, two college-aged kids, and I did a strenuous 6-mile mountain hike before checking in. We were *exhausted* to say the least. To find out there was no elevator to our second floor room was a tough pill to swallow, but we soldiered on. We had a family suite with a double bed, armoire, and loveseat in one room, and bunk beds in the other. A tiny bathroom connected the two rooms. Quarters are *cramped*! The sinks really have no counter space. But - the beds were comfortable, the linens smelled clean, they provided plenty of soaps, shampoos, and conditioners, and all the staff were very friendly. The food at the Snorting Elk was good and our server was a sweetheart. I will say, the breakfast was kind of chaotic because there was a busful of tourists in the restaurant when we went to dine. Staff was struggling to stock breakfast items, including milk, coffee, and even bread. But this could have been circumstantial. The mountain views are breathtaking, and the staff are helpful. We would return because it's a gorgeous setting and we know not every night on vacation can be Park Avenue. I think the renovations the manager mentioned about redoing some rooms and making the gravel walkway concrete and brick will do wonders.

Outworn rooms considering the price, and rippoff with deposit especially since the the hotel refused to take responsibility for masking sure the deposit was returned to the credicard !!!!!

Almost perfect experience! Not sure what the others who wrote poor reviews were expecting but this was a wonderful place to stay. We stayed in the Quicksilver Lodge. Our space was very clean, modern with mini-fridge, TV and Wii-Dii access. My daughters LOVED the loft suite with their full beds. We ate dinner for both nights at the Alpine Inn which was delicious (fine dining but accommodates kids). The common area was cute with 80s/90s video and board games that we had fun with. Service was great as well. It’s the level of hotel we expect for lodging in/close to a national park and wholeheartedly recommend it for families as apart of their summer adventure in Mt Rainier.
