We arrived expecting to see a beautiful hotel on the beach....The Hotel is in the middle of Enniscrone town center, we pulled in outside and went in to ask about parking. This was our first encounter with the staff. The staff advised us to stay parked outside in front of the abandoned run down building next door to the hotel as the underground carpark would be very busy with people using the restaurant. We got our bags and brought them up the hill and into the hotel. We entered our family room and found a bowel movement sitting in an unflushed toilet! There was no Internet in this room (our son has autism and needs access to his gadgets), the tv kept glitching too. I told the staff in reception about the toilet , she had no reaction and said she would send housekeeping and a maintenance person for tv. House keeping never arrived and another staff member came to see tv, she didn't seem to know anything and just checked the wires were connected. After a lot of hassle, waiting and my son needing the toilet, I cleaned it myself! I mean clean as it was all stuck to the side it needed more than a flush! I went to reception a few times and she said she was waiting for the deputy manager to come check the tv and Internet connection but he was busy in the restaurant, after again waiting I decided to m go to the restaurant. I found the deputy manager who said he was very busy as the manager was on maternity leave and he probably wouldn't get up to our room for about an hour and that when he did he probablywould know how to fix it..we had been waiting about an hour at this point already. I requested to move room. After a couple of moves we finally got a room that we could have Internet but the tv was not a smart rv and it just glitched most of the time but at least my son could use his devices as the room had Internet access. Just to mention we go to hotels to use the facilities, we mostly stay in our room because this is what works for our son and he loves to be away in a hotel room. It was late by the time we finally got to relax the first evening. First thing in the morning we went for breakfast, it was just okay. We then decided to go to the beach as that was part of the reason we booked this hotel. We discovered the hotel is certainly not on the beach and that it is not easy to access the beach. It was one of of parties 60th birthday so we wanted them to wake up and enjoy the beautiful beach view on their special day. So after we walked through the underground car park and the playground and then climbed up the sandy hill with no rails and then made our way down the other side we finally saw the beach! With a knee Injury this was a one time trip to the beach! We went back to our room and made the most of our 2 nights stay. If you like luxury , cleanliness, up to date smart tvs and internet that works, good quality food and helpful cheerful staff then please do not visit this hotel. I have to give a shout out to Karl who was the only sta
