Emerald Creek Cottages

We stayed at Emerald Creek Cottages as a family of three. The room was great, and the surrounding scenery was beautiful. However, our experience was completely ruined by the Host, Naomi. The next morning, as I stepped out, she angrily confronted me with an odd, smug expression, accusing us of having four people in the room – claiming that my wife, daughter, and my mother were all staying there. She demanded extra charge. I was shocked and told her that wasn’t true, and even offered to let her check inside. She refused, adamantly insisting, “Your mother is inside.” When I told her this was incredibly rude, I even offered to call everyone outside to prove her wrong. She reluctantly said, “Fine, I apologize,” but continued being unfriendly, saying the house next door had many people, and she was upset. This was the most bizarre and unpleasant experience of our 12-day road trip in Australia. It made me feel like she had been spying on us and possibly mistook someone else for a fourth guest. I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone – avoid it unless you want a similar unpleasant encounter. 【避雷！！】我们一家三口入住了 Emerald Creek Cottages，房间很好，周围风景也非常美。但第二天早上，Host Naomi 的行为完全毁掉了我们的体验。当时我刚出门，她直接冲过来，用生气而洋洋得意的表情指责我们房间有四个人——除了我和妻子、女儿，还住着我妈妈，并要求我们额外付钱。我非常震惊，告诉她这完全不是事实，不信可以进去看。但她拒绝，并自信地说：“你妈妈就在里面。”我告诉她这非常无礼，我可以让所有人出来给她看。最后她才不情愿地道歉，但态度依然不友好，还说隔壁房子住了很多人，她很生气。 整个事情让人觉得非常莫名其妙，甚至觉得她可能一直在暗中盯着我们，并误认了某人。这是我在澳洲 12 天自驾之旅中最不愉快的一次体验。我强烈建议大家避雷，千万别来这里！

Super relaxing and peaceful getaway. Emerald Creek Cottages had everything that we needed and more. Only regret was that we only stayed one night. Loved the breakfast supplies and treats that were included. We enjoyed the deck view of our Forest View Cottage.
