Service is top notch during the stay in this hotel. They provided transport to the boarding location for the sightseeing bus to the summit and also to Emeishan station during our departure. The room has all the amenities that we require. The staff are all very helpful and communication is easy. Will recommend to stay.
We arrived at late hours and the restaurant was already closed. We were starving, but the staff were so kind — they opened the kitchen and cooked for us. Thank you for that!
The only downside is we arrived too late to use the hot springs, so we missed it this time.
Overall incredible service. We’ll definitely come back and stay longer to enjoy everything.
We tried to organize a train pickup (which was included) however the hotel did not reply to messages and on the phone they just ended the call (I was English speaking). We ended up booking a didi. The room was quite used and super old. Unfortunately we got as well a smoking room even though we noted that we would like to get a non smoking room. The hotel changed us to a different room whiteout smoke smell but it also worn out and smelly. In contrast, the breakfast was really good. Everything from fruits, fresh salad and warm and cold dishes. Also the staff was friendly and helpful.
Zhongzhu Mountain Hotel has a stunning location, nestled right on the edge of a lush forest. It is the most tranquil setting you could ask for with a beautiful lake, green bamboo and large trees all around. The hot spring indoor and outdoor pools were just what we needed after a day at Emei Mountain. The service provided was so helpful and courteous throughout our stay, from reception to house keeping, hot spring areas to restaurant staff to concierge. The breakfast buffet was excellent with high quality Chinese and Western choices. We also loved the walkway around the lake in the hotel ground as well as the paths along the stream and forests a short distance from the hotel entrance. I also enjoyed the activities provided for guests - calligraphy session and fragrant pouch making session. Our three night stay was most enjoyable and relaxing. We would like to return one day.
Initially, we thought our room included a private in-room hot spring. When we checked in, we learned that it did not. However, we were offered the option to pay for an upgraded room with a private hot spring. We were glad we paid extra for that upgrade, even though it was a bit out of our budget.
We truly enjoyed the in-room facilities and the nearby public hot spring. This resort hotel also offered free classes during our stay, where we were taught how to make sachet bags and were able to keep the finished products as souvenirs.
Overall, the service was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
We loved our stay in this hotel, especially the building 7. The building is renovated recently. The room is spacious with a full size spring hot tub at the balcony. Everything is new and clean. The front desk is very professional, perlite, and helpful. We will definitely come back to stay in building 7 of this hotel again.
The rooms in Building 5 are very old, very damp, you can smell mold. The insect net was broken so the room was full of little flies and moths. Service was very quick though and switched us to a different room with less insects. The beds are very hard. The garden view is only view of some green in front of the window. When we arrived there were some workers there, not really a nice garden. The corridor is really dark and the carpet smells bad. The hot springs are included and are nice but the facilities are so old and not well maintained. Nothing felt clean. Breakfast had a lot of options, was quite good. The location is near Baoguo Temple, 10min walking, and you can also walk in 15-20min to the Emeishan Pasenger Transport Centre Baogo temple for the ride up to Leidongping.
The hotel room in building 5 is spacious and looks out to the lake. The beds have firmer mattresses than the standards in the U.S. The location is quiet and nestled in the woods and gives a feel of a retreat. I love that it is within a 10-minute walk of the first and second temples on Emai Mountain and 20 minutes from the trailhead for the stone steps path. The hotel is also a 15-minute walking distance from the Emei Mountain shuttle bus station to the Golden Summit. We enjoyed hiking, dining at the hotel without stepping out, and going to the hot spring at night. They only offer Chinese food at lunch and dinner. There are healthy and delicious vegetarian dishes on their menu. When more visitors from the West stay at the hotel, I believe they can add delicious Western dishes to the menu.
The room was clean and tidy, the location was conveniently close to the mountain, and the service was excellent. The staff were efficient and responsive.
We stayed at Hongzhushan Hotel and had a mixed experience. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, which I really appreciated. However, the amenities felt quite dated and could use some updating. Cleanliness was inconsistent, as some of the rooms were not as clean as expected. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room also wasn’t working, which made the stay less comfortable. Overall, good service, but the facilities and upkeep could be improved.
Histrionic hotel with beautiful lake/park, friendly staff, good breakfast! We can imagine this was a five-star hotel 20 years ago. Unfortunately, the room amenities seem outdated; the furniture and appliances are old and damaged, and the carpets are worn and filthy. We checked in building 5, in our rooms the mattress was old, very thin & You can feel the prickly springs inside the mattress.. We couldn't sleep at all the first night, and it wasn't until the staff upgraded our rooms twice that we were able to sleep on the standard hotel mattresses. As a five-star hotel, old and broken facilities can be excused as "nostalgia," but at the very least, guests should be provided with comfortable mattresses and a clean environment. There are other things I don't want to mention here, because these problems aren't the house keeping staff's fault, but rather the responsibility of the hotel management. Finally, I want to thank the housekeeping supervisor/manager who upgraded our rooms; they were very patient and even thoughtfully brought us fruit.
