"We had a good holiday overall and made some lovely family memories, but I don’t think this hotel quite lives up to its 4-star rating, particularly when compared with other 4-star all-inclusive resorts we’ve stayed at. To start with the positives, we really appreciated the hotel moving us to a different room after we raised our concerns. The management listened and did what they could to improve our stay, and we’re genuinely grateful for that. Our original apartment was very dated, with old dark furniture, a tired-looking bathroom, poor Wi-Fi and no air conditioning in the lounge where our family member was sleeping. It didn’t match the impression we’d been given online and was a disappointing start to the holiday. The food was always perfectly edible, and we never struggled to find something to eat, but the selection was quite basic and repetitive. We’ve stayed at several other all-inclusive hotels where there was much more variety, particularly at dinner, and a greater choice of fresh dishes. One thing we also noticed was the lack of service in the restaurant. We appreciate that buffet restaurants work differently to table service, but at other all-inclusive resorts we’ve at least been greeted on arrival, shown to a table or welcomed with a simple “good morning”. Here, it often felt like you simply walked in, found your own table and that was it. The staff worked hard, but the overall atmosphere felt less welcoming than we’d expected. The entertainment was a bit mixed. The Greek dancing night was excellent and one of the highlights of the holiday, and the aqua gym sessions were great fun too. However, outside of those, there often wasn’t much happening around the pool during the day. We would have liked to see more organised activities and entertainment for both adults and children, as there were long periods where very little was going on. Some evening entertainment also felt a little overhyped compared with what was actually provided. That said, the resort itself has some positives. The pools are nice, the views are beautiful, and the location is great for visiting Elounda and Agios Nikolaos. Overall, I’d describe the hotel as perfectly fine rather than exceptional. We enjoyed our holiday, but if you’re expecting the standard of a typical 4-star all-inclusive resort, you may find it falls a little short in terms of accommodation, food variety, cleanliness, atmosphere and overall attention to detail. With some investment and improvements, it could be a much stronger hotel."

"Absolutely amazing place;) I spent one week in this adorable hotel with my mother and her friend. We got such a spacious, lovely room with a charming veranda. All around beautiful Greek vegetation and a picturesque tree with pink flowers. It made our day brighter;). Housekeeping ladies keep our room tide up every day. And the facilities employees was always eager to help. We had a slight problem with the lock, but after reporting this the problem had been fix shortly. Swimming pool is situated just right to the dining place and is well preserved. Beautiful cream beach-umbrelass match perfectly to the spektakular view that spreads out over Ellounda bay."

Kahvilan jälkeen päivä ennen checkout pyydettiin meitä mennä vastaanotto keskustella meidän checkout. Lähdimme myöhään seuraavana yönä todella myöhään lennolla, ja pääjohtaja tarjosi meille onnellisesti pitää huoneemme kunnes lähdimme, joka rehellisesti teki lomamme, koska se tarkoitti, että voisimme nauttia täysi päivä rannalla ja suihku ennen lähtöämme Lentoasema. "I recently spent a week in one of these studios. It was very clean and well equipped. It had great, fast WiFi, and the bed was super comfortable too! I was very pleased with the welcome gifts of fruit and sweets. The owner, Eleni was great at communicating and letting me know about entry as I had a very late arrival time, and it was lovely to meet her a couple of days after my arrival. The location of the studios was great, close to the seafront and village centre, with shops and cafes nearby. It was great value for money accommodation, which I would recommend."

"We stayed at this resort from 16 July 2026 for six nights, and unfortunately our experience did not live up to our expectations. Our first impression was that the resort looked a little tired and in need of refurbishment. Check-in was smooth, and we were taken to our room by golf buggy. We were fortunate to be allocated a room close to reception and the restaurant because this is a very large resort with lots of steep hills and many flights of steps. If you have mobility issues or struggle with walking, I would not recommend this resort. The room itself was comfortable and mostly clean, although one of the towels had a large yellow stain on it. One thing worth noting is that you cannot flush toilet paper, so all used tissue must be disposed of in a bathroom bin. The pool areas were mixed. The upper pool had green staining around the edges and what appeared to be some exposed sharp metal edging in places, which didn’t inspire confidence. The main pool was a decent size, and my son really enjoyed the water slides. However, the water was extremely salty, leaving salt residue on our skin, hair and swimwear, and it stung our eyes. Also, be prepared for a workout—there are 81 steps down to the pool, which also means 81 steps back up again. The biggest disappointment was the food and the handling of allergies. My children and I all have coeliac disease, and despite informing the hotel, we experienced repeated issues with cross-contamination. I personally suffered with a severe stomach upset for six of the six days we were there, and my son also became ill with stomach pain and vomiting. I personally witnessed the chef using the same tongs to handle gluten-containing chicken nuggets, then mixing gluten-free chips with those same tongs before returning to cook chicken that was also supposed to be gluten-free. I reported this to the restaurant manager, who unfortunately didn’t seem to understand the seriousness of the issue. We were then referred to the operations manager, who was extremely helpful and took the complaint seriously. Sadly, I later witnessed the chef cross-contaminating food again later in the week. Anyone with coeliac disease or serious food allergies should exercise extreme caution when eating here. Another incident that concerned us happened during breakfast one morning. Staff were mopping up what appeared to be sewage coming up through a drain in the middle of the restaurant floor. The smell was unpleasant, and towels had been placed on the floor to absorb the liquid while guests continued eating around the area. Shortly afterwards, maintenance staff lifted a floor tile and inserted a long pipe into another drain, apparently attempting to clear the blockage. I was later told they carried the pipe back through the dining area while people were still eating. In my opinion, the restaurant should have been closed temporarily for health and safety reasons, as sewage and food service simply should not mix. The staff throughout the resor"

"Suuri pieni hotelli, jossa on hyvä henkilöstö. Kaunis baarialue, joka tekee hyvän valikoiman juomia ja snack-ja. Monet aurinkosänkyjä, hyvä sijainti ja huoneet pidetään hyvin puhtaana. Noin 15 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä kaupunkiin mutta helppo asunto kävely. Hotellin oikealle on myös pieni ranta, joka tarjoaa mukavia auringon sängyjä (palkkaista mutta kohtuullista). Myös koska se sijaitsee kaukana kaupungin, oikealla puolella, voit kävellä söpöä ruokapöytä ja ravintola sijaitsee omilla (kaunis aamulla kävely ennen kuin se tulee liian kuuma). Hotelli omistaa myös oma vene, jonka voit mennä matkalle Spinalonga jne. Ainoa grippi, jonka meillä oli hotellissa on, että he eivät tarjoa suihkuhuonetta käyttää, jos sinulla on myöhäinen lento takaisin. Yritimme varata myöhäistä checkout, mutta ei voinut, koska hotelli oli täysin varattu. Tämä olisi suuri parannus hotellille, jos se tarjosi tämän palvelun. "10 day stay, got there in early hours met by chap named Alex, sat us down which we found strange? Had a big book out and other pre-filled documents, i.e. Room tax form, asked us to email Jet 2 hotel form to the hotel? Why I have no clue? All took time , it's late we are tired, can it not be done in the morning? Anyway we got to bed eventually, room was no107 right on top of pool and close to bar area, fairly basic smallish room with large comfortable double bed which took up most of the space, bathroom was good, shower great, room cleaned everyday, never cooked as we were b&b , has a toaster hob and fridge minimal utensils. First morning we went down for breakfast, only one other couple there, waited 35 mins for cooked full breakfast half of it cold other half was hot , tbf we didn't wait long on the rest of the days, but the quality wasn't consistent, sometimes good sometimes not. Found the prices at the bar were a little steep, certainly compared to neighbouring ones, when I did mention this to one of the chaps there it didn't go down well, but small 20cl Prosecco 12 euros??? Come on now? Seems to be chap named Nikos and lady Evelyn, I think? In the morning, and Alex did afternoon/evening, they are all friendly and speak good English, the pool area is very good with excellent comfy sunbeds and umbrellas, the sea front right outside which we had a few dips in it was ace! Lots of nice restaurants on the strip into main Elounda which is 10/15 mins stroll. The Alikes is in a really good spot but go self catering and try the other places for Brekkie. Also lastly there's the extras! 10 nights air con a whopping 96Euro! Safe 21 Euro , Room Tax 15 Euro, and late room checkout 40 Euro, total of 172 , in many years of coming to Greece easily one of the most expensive place we've stayed. Summing up there seemed to be guests there who have been before, would we go back? No."

"We have just returned from an 11 night stay at Elounda Bay. It was our second visit following our initial stay at the same time in 2025. That alone demonstrates how much we love the place; having never previously returned to the same resort twice. So this is our second review. Firstly, we definitely were not disappointed we decided to return. The return visit was equally magical and we didn’t want to leave! To avoid repeating my first review I will summarise our highlights:- 1. The situation and landscaping is stunning. All walks within the complex are a joy. The gardeners obviously work very hard in a hot environment. The little “village square” by the church is utterly charming, and they have a delightful Greek night there which is not really advertised but check it out. 2. Sunbathing; the pool staff are incredible, particularly the more senior chap (sorry dont know his name) who couldn’t be more helpful always greeting us with a wonderful smile. We never had an issue locating a lovely place to relax. The pool at the sister hotel (beach) was much quieter than the one in bay and very serene. 3. Cleanliness; the grounds are spotless and our rooms were cleaned frequently and well. I noted another reviewer commented on plastic in the sea. I’m afraid that’s a worldwide society issue and no fault of the hotel. I spotted staff dealing with that promptly, and generally the hotel beaches were immaculate. As for potential room for improvement these are minor but nevertheless:- 1. Buffet; the quality of the food is very good. I mentioned this in my last review - the buffet area has a layout that is basic and a bit canteeny. It does not mirror the hard work the cooks obviously invest in the food. It would in my view be so easy to make the area more appealing with simple decorative items. 2. Entertainment; we don’t expect loud tacky entertainment but they do have a rather odd approach. There is a wonderful piano player who sometimes plays in the restaurant area but was often placed in the bar area outside the restaurant (where nobody drinks) so she was playing to herself. 3. Some of the additional restaurants have occasional singers (nice and low key) but only dinners (often very few) get to enjoy that - you are not encouraged to join for a late drink. I say this because the bars are often incredibly quiet so can lack atmosphere which is frustrating because the situation of both bars is out of this world - particularly the one by the jetty.
