Elounda Akti Olous (Adults Only)

Best hotel in Elounda. Just spent another 11 nights at the Akti it’s simply stunning. The views are incredible and the staff are even better. The location of the hotel is perfect for a lovely wander into the harbour or a walk into the village on the lane. Breakfast and meals on the jetty is so special and you won’t take enough photos. Thanks again to all the staff and we will be back again xxx John and Lynette.

We stayed here from 24th September until 9th October and we had the most amazing time. The hotel is lovely, very clean, modern and right on the water, and a short walk to the village centre. We loved having breakfast on the water every morning and the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Big shout out to Poppy in the Sky bar who made the most amazing cocktails! The only criticism I would have about the hotel is the pool area. It's quite small and there's not enough sunbeds for guests. It turned out not to be too much of an issue as we ended up spending most of our time at the beach, just a very short walk from the hotel. I know the hotel are taking steps to address the issues with the pool area so I'm excited to see what they do with it. We had the best holiday here, its a great hotel and Elounda is just beautiful. We honestly can't wait to return!

Any customer facing business owes its success to its staff and how they interact with their clients, even when tired and faced with stressful situations, the Atki Olous has this in bucketfuls. Indeed, some of the nicest people that you will ever meet work here. The hotel is spotlessly clean from top to bottom with daily room cleaning and frequent linen changes. Breakfast covers whatever you might desire which can be eaten on a pontoon over the sea, with fish ever ready to fight over scraps and within a short walk along a beautiful front is restaurant after restaurant all serving classically Greek dishes, plus more to suit all tastes. I personally would like to thank Popi and Spiros in the sky bar, fantastically friendly, knowledgeable and make the best drinks. Yanis, the night porter, great banter late at night and all round very knowledgeable nice guy Anastasia and Denia on reception always helpful The Nikos family who make all this possible Also, all those who work so hard in the background, the cleaners and servers who do a thoroughly superb job and make the Atki Olous such a wonderful place to stay. This is our third visit to this superbly family run hotel and we have already booked to return in May

This was a return visit to the hotel, as all previous visits have been excellent. The location cannot be bettered, close enough to the town centre, but far enough away not to be noisy. It's a sign that I'm getting old that I appreciate it being adults only. The rooms are clean and tidy, and although small we find that as you only sleep in them it doesn't matter. We actually had a room in the annexe, slightly larger but with a poor view of an overgrown olive grove. But again, the room is just to sleep in. The meals are excellent. Breakfast is buffet style, with more than enough choice, dinner is from the a la carte menu with a ( small) supplement for the more expensive items. Dinner on the jetty across the road is very pleasant! All the staff are pleasant and welcoming, a big shout out to Popi who seems to work all hours God sends! Elounda is a lovely town / village, and having researched other accommodation we have booked for next year already.

Fantastic holiday and so relaxed and chilled. Two weeks of sheer bliss. Our flight was delayed from Liverpool so we arrived around 1am having been deposited in side street of Elounda and walking down narrow cobbled street, we were a little concerned. We woke next morning to a wonderful blue sky and full sunshine, glorious after our miserable English summer! We had a side sea view. Ok balcony is on tight side but to see that view. Breakfast was amazing and all of the hotel and eating areas are spotless and the staff are always cleaning and catering to all ones needs. Staff very polite and pleasant. Effy is lovely and works so hard. We often had lunch on beach. There is a snack menu. Bliss having a glass of wine served on the beach. Most days we just relaxed on the private beach or at the roof top pool with its amazing views. Another plus side to this hotel is adults only. Double bonus. Everything is within walking distance. We ate a few nights at the restaurant and once again food was amazing. The owners of the hotel have invested and spent money. Nice little touches, comfortable sun beds, decent parasols. Safe and air conditioning in rooms. We often used to have a cocktail in evening in rooftop bar, Spiros is lovely and so friendly, we miss him. Lovely cool breeze in evening. We will be back, thank you.

Just returned from a week at the Akti Olous.Fabulous room, big bed,great shower,everywhere spotlessly clean, towels changd every day, side sea view. Air con and safe included in price. Small roof top pool,fabulous cocktail bar on the same level, served by the lovely,helpful Spiros.Breakfast amazing, views from the pool incredible, stretching across the salt pans.Popi was always happy, cheerful and helpful. We stayed half board, lovely food,well presented and plenty of it. Only downside was the miserable head waiter. Never made any conversation, always rushed you and seemed to spend all his time trying to attract new customers.
