Lakshmis Hotel Ella arvostelua

Good little hotel. Without aircon, it was rather hot and humid inside the room. No frill.

We stayed here for one night and it was very pleasant! The hostess and all the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. There is parking, but parking is very difficult. The slope is steep. There is no air conditioning in the room.

This is a solid hotel. The staff could smile more but we encountered no problems staying here

El hotel es humilde y situado en la montaña, al final de una cuesta muy empinada, pero cerca de la estación y del centro de Ella. Las habitaciones tienen una iluminación un poco pobre, pero están limpias. Es un hotel para pasar la noche y poco más

Nice little guest house on a small steep road. Overlooking the train station and in walking distance to Ellas main street. Room was good and good size balcony

I have to admit, we absolutely loved our stay here. The people were so accommodating and friendly. The location is on a steep hill, most cars won't make it up but walking down and up takes about 5 minutes or a tub tuk can get you there. The view is amazing and worth the walk. It's so close to the main road and close to main attractions (about 20min walk) the room was comfortable, warm, clean. The breakfast was some fruit, with eggs made according to your choice, some toast and they even let us try the coconut pancakes which were so yummy. Everything was amazing. We were so happy there and will definitely stay there again.

Very friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Lakshmi was very warm amd friendly and Sam was very knowledgeable about whole of Sri Lankan history, in which we were very interested. Very short walk into town (down hill). Excellent calf stretch getting back from town.

We cannot praise this place enough! Sam gets a particular mention for his warm welcome and amazing attention to detail and customer service. A wonderful man whose sense of humour we shall remember always with our trip to this beautiful part of the world . Good location too as it is a short walk from the train station and the vibrant town. Bonus being the hotel is just up the road from the best restaurant in town where you have to queue up to get in. Thank you to the team that made this two night stay truly memorable 🙏

Friendly staff but no food The manager was absolutely great and deserves a raise!! So helpful and service minded. The rooms were good But…. This is not a place for the light sleeper or someone with difficulty walking. The area around is quite loud and the train at 5am is probably going to wake you up no matter where in Ella you’re trying to sleep. The walk to the hotel is short but really steep like REALLY STEEP. The kitchen staff is never there even though it says you can order food til 8 pm so it’s impossible to get food, you simply have to walk down the hill and up again WiFi could also be better, couldn’t attend work meetings.

Nice, friendly hotel with beautiful views. I had a fabulous stay at this hotel. The view from the room was stunningly beautiful. The breakfast was good and the service was friendly.

A lovely boutique hotel in a peaceful location but just 5 minutes walk from the railway station and restaurants. Set on a hill with fabulous views from our balcony and the restaurant, we loved watching birds and other wildlife while sipping a cold beer. Our room was clean, well equipped and comfortable with a modern bathroom. The breakfasts were very good. We enjoyed chatting to Kurt, the owner, who was very friendly and helpful with local information and arranging transport. If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful location within a short distance of the hustle and bustle of Ella's main street, Lakshmis Hotel is perfect. Note, the hill is quite steep and might not suit people with mobility problems but we're in our 60s and managed fine - with the added bonus of fireflies at night!
