Ekho Ella

Just a few minutes away from the village centre, we were very welcome to this boutique hotel with a staggering view. Spotless all through and very calm. We had the ensuite with the jacuzzi, so romantic! High recommended (don't forget to ask where all the numerous light switches are!)

This was one of the most memorable and beautiful experiences we had. From the entrance to the hotel, with the welcome of the station master. We entered the Ekho unique “train ride”. The warm refreshing face towel to the smiling faces of the staff, the warm ambiance of the waiting lounge , truly an asset for Sri Lanka. The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was one of a kind. The service of the staff is very warm and welcoming. The view was so breathtaking. Please continue the good work you do to put Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 Ella on the map Ekho Ella. Thank you so very much once again.

EKHO Ella is a small luxury hotel in Ella. It has parking for personal cars and vans within the premises. However, if you are arriving in a coach or bus, you must find somewhere else to park and walk there, as their car park is too small. Unfortunately, I do not think the hotel is wheelchair accessible, as I do not recall seeing any ramps, especially at the main entrance. Due to the price range required to stay here, the ambiance is rather formal and quiet. When we visited, there was not much of a crowd, other than a few other tourists who were staying the night at the hotel. The premises and cutlery were all clean, with the overall hygiene being outstanding. Since we were only there for a short amount of time, we did not have much time with the staff, but the few we saw had nothing negative about them to note. However, the service was a bit slow, as we had to wait a bit of time due to there not being enough tea for a crowd that had already been informed to them. The tea and chocolate cake they served was great and I wish I got to have some more :) . They take both cash and card as well if I recall.

The view from the hotel is one of the most spectacular you're likely to find anywhere. The hotel is peaceful, the food is great and the people are kind and keen to help in any way they can. Great location for all the main sites in Ella and a very short walk to the centre of town. Bathroom was a little tired, but everything else absolutely immaculate. Thank you for a great stay.

View is amazing and also the service. They do the complete service as per Aurveda solution. You can also do free Yuga in the morning. Food menu is also good. Room are designed as per Train Compartment. Priyantha and Thakshina was the real hero for the service and all.

Excellent service by staff Priyantha, Sanjeewa and Nilakshi has been very kind and helpful. Conveniently located to all shops and restaurants. Rooms are very clean, spacious, well equipped and very well maintained. Will definitely visit again thank you all and keep up the great work.
