Royal Castle Design & Spa Hotel

Myself, my partner and friends booked all inclusive as my friends were getting married in the hotel. We had to ask for toilet roll and fresh towels. Our room wasn’t once checked or changed over the whole time we stayed until we asked. The bar ran out of soft drinks and beer. Now for the worst part… the day of the wedding there was a storm which had all the guests run indoors so those who were all inclusive went to the bar for some drinks and out of nowhere a very very rude manager gave loud attitude to the poor boy behind the bar and told him to stop serving us any drinks and then turned away. The boy wasn’t given a reason and we were absolute furious. This caused a lot of distress and anger for the guests who had paid for all inclusive and apparently the reason was because the “manager” couldn’t tell who was all inclusive even though we had the bands. We couldn’t even as much as get any water. There was no drinks for a long period of time during the storm as they hadn’t brought the drinks from outside to inside. When they did eventually bring some wine inside, they gave us it in plastic cups… at a wedding… The manager refused to speak with us directly even though we chased after him and tried. He just spoke Bulgarian very rudely to his colleagues and left them to deal with it which was horrible to see. Their manager is very rude and you couldn’t pay me to go back there.

super service, excellent property, essentially 5*-hotel! we were 3-4 times in this hotel, we come back! we are really excited from this hotel! a little bit in german: das ist wirklich das beste Hotel in Bulgarien! es gibt sicher paar Sachen zu kritisieren - der Service im Wellnessbereich ist mittelmäßig, die Kellner im Restaurant können kaum eine Fremdsprache. Trotzdem können wir das Hotel nur empfehlen! Alles hat gepasst und wir kommen immer wieder, wenn wir in Bulgarien sind!

Well, let's see... There isn't really much good to say about this place. The decor looks neat online, but in person, it looks like an oligarch dropped acid and went on a safari. The service is perhaps the worst I have ever encountered in my life. They need to just tell you what they do have because the list of what they do not have is astoundingly long. The "manager" had no authority to do anything managerial (like turn on the AC) and looked like he woke up with a wicked hangover. We were there for one (1) day before deciding it was a lost cause and moving on. Didn't even spend the night, just bailed out. Other guests were discussing it and I'm sort of with them...this place is not operating to make money from guests. This place operates for other reasons entirely.

Arrived in July 2023, initial impressions of the hotel, was that it was seriously impressive and that opinion only continued when we saw the glorious rooms that we were staying in - unfortunately aside from the salad selection there were no further good points to the hotel. Upon arrival, we went to the bar for oir first drink of the holiday, to be told there was no beer due to a wedding on the previous day. The hotel is run down, which was typified by the tiles in the pool raining down on the users. The food selection was poor, with the family being unimpressed for the whole week and looking forward to going home for better food. There was only one bar and restaurant open, as opposed to the multitude that was supposedly offered. The staff were very nice, but severely lacking in numbers. An example of our stay was when we went to use the tennis court, which looked nice. However I had forgotten my tennis rackets (which I was very annoyed about) and we went to the reception to use the hotel's rackets and found that their paltry offering of one tennis racket and one squash racket was not sufficient to play tennis. In conclusion, I would advise all who are looking at this hotel to avoid and seek a 4 star hotel in any other country.

Non ci sono parole per descrivere la bellezza di questo posto! BELLISSIMO! Ogni singolo particolare è disegnato alla perfezione, sembra veramente di essere in un castello reale. Era il mio anniversario e lo staff ha saputo rendere questo momento incredibile. Penso che chi ha fatto recensioni negative su questo hotel abbia sbagliato prenotazione e sia andato in un’altra struttura, perché io ho trovato tutto perfetto! Noi siamo arrivati in macchina, il parcheggio davanti all’hotel è comodissimo, la zona non era assolutamente abbandonata come alcuni dicono, anzi, era mantenuta molto bene, vicino ci sono mini market, acqua park e poi addirittura un luna park con dei negozi di souvenir. La spiaggia è veramente vicina a piedi. La nostra camera era spettacolare, con un letto enorme che sembrava uscito da una fiaba. Stupendo, sapevano del nostro anniversario e ci hanno addirittura regalato delle frutta e una bottiglia. Non è una cosa scontata e abbiamo molto apprezzato. Il cibo era molto buono, sempre vario, ho adorato le insalate di ogni tipo, avevano sempre un’opzione di pesce, carne, vegetariana, salumi formaggi, fritti, pizza e ogni tipo di bevanda inclusa. Il personale sempre molto gentile, tutti parlavano inglese. Ma quelli che nella recensione dicono che lo staff non era amichevole e non parlava inglese, ma dove hanno soggiornato? Check in e check out velocissimo, i ragazzi alla reception sono stati gentilissimi, in particolar modo vorrei ringraziare i ragazzi del bar in piscina, gentilissimi e super professionali, i cocktail buonissimi e rinfrescanti. La spa è stupenda, forse un po’ troppo buia ma rende l’atmosfera molto romantica. Abbiamo provato anche un massaggio aromatico alla spa, molto molto rilassante, consiglio i servizi della spa a tutti! La piscina sempre pulita e nonostante ci fosse tanta gente non era mai affollata. Andateci in auto e esplorate la zona (Burgas, Sunny Beach, Nessebar e Sozopol) Grazie di tutto, ritorneremo sicuramente!
