Double Bay Beach Hotel

Σε μια μόνιμη διάθεση αλαζονείας ο ιδιοκτήτης θεωρώντας ότι τα ξέρει όλα. Σίγουρα δεν γνωρίζει την ελληνική λέξη «φιλοξενία». Δυστυχώς προ κράτησης και πληρωμής, μας ενημέρωσαν τηλεφωνικά μετά απο ερώτηση μας, οτι θα μας διαθέσουν μία πρίζα για την φόρτιση του ηλεκτρικού μας αυτοκινήτου, πράγμα που ήταν προϋπόθεση για την κράτηση μας. Όταν φτάσαμε, με ιδιαίτερα άσχημο τρόπο και με φωνές, ο ιδιοκτήτης μας αμφισβήτησε και αρνήθηκε την πρίζα. Μετά απο αρκετούς καβγάδες μας έστειλε σε ένα γνωστό του στο λιμάνι για να φορτίσουμε με πρίζα για 2 ώρες (το οποίο δεν φτάνει για την επιστροφή μας). Μάλιστα μας έδειξε τον λογαριασμό του ρεύματος του λέγοντας οτι τριπλασιάστηκε απο πέρσι… Μας διέθεσαν μία κάρτα για το δωμάτιο ασχέτως πόσους φιλοξενεί λέγοντας οτι αν χρειαστούμε θα μας ανοίξουν εκείνοι. Μετά απο όλα αυτά, την επόμενη ημέρα μας έκανε σχόλιο κατα τη διάρκεια του πρωινού επειδή φυσούσε ότι εμείς φέραμε τον αέρα… Αγενής, δύστροπος ιδιοκτήτης που χαντακώνει την περιοχή εκτός της ιδιοκτησίας του. Λυπούμαστε για τα χρήματα που αφήσαμε.

The hotel was remote, the staff was great but the management and owners were extremely rude and arrogant. They did not make us feel welcome! Rude through our stay, we will not be returning! Storming wasps all around buffet and tables. We wanted to bring a cup of coffee to our room, the owner scolded us and charged us for the coffee even though the resort had an all inclusive breakfast. Have been to many resorts with breakfast included never once have we been charged! One of our worse experiences!

I picked this hotel based on location, architecture and reviews. A bit concerned as the date was coming closer based on some comments seen here. But soon I realized most of the negativity was nonsense. The building and its architecture are modern and awesome in the details. Tiles, marble, balconies, rooms, kitchen fully equipped, refrigerator, air conditioning all were like nowhere else I’ve seen at this prices. Furniture also very useful and complete. The service was impeccable every single day. Sheets and covers, pillows, towels, beach towels based on request, shower robes all top quality 100% cotton. The mattress maybe has reached useful life, but no complaints here. Water in the shower plentiful and nice pressure on the phone shower. All other amenities were adequate. Self Parking very convenient and partly covered. The owners are the nicest people both Joanis and especially Eleni always useful, always attending to any reasonable requests we made. Zoe and the rest of the service staff were also very friendly. Breakfast is home prepared and includes anything that anyone would want and plentiful. I’d say there are a lot of flies in the outdoors area, but tough to control the outdoors so we managed to protect our food. I give this place whole heartedly a five out of five and would recommend it to anyone. We really hope to be back here in this beautiful place where we felt like home. Thank you Double Bay for making our vacation so AWESOME!

We stayed at the Double Bay Hotel, Elafonisos. The hotel is located closest to the best beach on the island - Simos Beach. Eleni, the owner, is a very hands-on owner and personally interacts with all the guests. The hotel has beautiful rooms, is extremely clean, has modern bathrooms and sea-facing rooms. The hotel offers a very rich breakfast buffet. All the food was delicious, with many greek delicacies offered eg Greek yogurt, tiganites, fresh fruit, quiche, farmer’s sausage, bacon, pancakes, fresh juices etc. I highly recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed when you stay at the Double Bay.

Great place to stay, the room was spotlessly clean and my wife and I were impressed by the owner’s hands on work ethic. I would highly recommend staying there, breakfast was served daily, parking was provided and it also has Simos beach, one of the world’s best beaches close by

Nice hotel, the best in Elafonisos, modern and comfortable. It is very close to the best beach in the island, at walking distance. Rooms are spacious and nice furbished, with stylish details. Breakfast is simple and correct, with fresh ingredients. The price is quite high, as there is no high-level accommodation in the island to compete with. We spent two nights there, and upon arrival the owner told us that our room was not available, as one le the guests extended their stay one night. First, he offered us the suite for those two nights with an extra cost of 150 euros, even though it was his problem. As we didn't want to pay more (each night costed already 200 euros), he told us that he will give us a superior room for one night and we should shift to "our" room for the second night, right after the room was available. Very poor manners you will not find in any other hotel around the world. It is like you get an upgrade in a rental car for one day and you have to return it the second day, even if it there is no demand for it.
