Kimpton Mas Olas Resort and Spa

Just back after a week at Mas Olas for my daughter's wedding. Visited last April '24 with her to determine if suited as possible wedding venue; we were sold upon hello and then again after Bill (owner), Armando (hotel coordinator) and Sandro (chef/restaurant coordinator) toured their respective areas with us. Located in Baja Sur, off the beaten track and an hour outside of Cabos, the area is exactly what we sought. No thumping music, built in accordance with its surrounding, the Pacific and mountains as our backdrops; yet, providing the level of activity and serenity we hoped for. The owner with assistance of an outstanding crew has developed an organic garden/farm that provides the consistently incredible meals served by Sandro and his staff. No hyperbole. The food is either from the garden or the sea, locally, and is superior. The gardens consist of an array of cactus, fruit trees, flowering trees and other beautiful healthy ground cover. There are meandering dirt paths throughout and provide a peaceful way to detox from life. There are 3 areas with pools: Centro, provides dual pools with dining/bar area in between and ocean as backdrop; Botanica dining area is an arm's length from a cold pool that is situated between the spa (awesome, with sauna, steam room, hot tubs and protected lounging area) and the gym (outfitted for the gym rat, like myself, with two reformers, two Peletons, 2 treadmills, weights, Bosus, kettle bells, etc.), and Kahal with an infinity pool that abuts the dining area also overlooking the Pacific. All pools have built in platform lounge beds and umbrellas. The rooms are beautiful; I had an ocean front room with large, fabulously comfortable king bed, outdoor plunge pool and indoor and outdoor showers. Insane. The other accommodations are equally as comfortable; all afford a lovely outside lounging area, spacious bathrooms and beautiful views. What contributes to the resort is the crew and staff. This was a stressful week; many moving parts, many people, a number of different events. Consistently, the guests commented on the staff, how helpful and attentive they were. Not once did I feel that things were falling through the cracks. I didn't feel that way when I first visited last year and again, was met with professionalism to the hilt during the past week. Clearly, the tone is set by those who oversee the day to day operations of Mas Olas; that would be Bill, Armando, Sandro and those who they manage on a daily basis. And for that I am forever grateful. All contributed to making this once in a lifetime event stellar on all fronts....I felt that way as did the 180 guests who helped make the magic.

Everything about the resort from the warm and friendly staff to the GM, Armando was absolutely incredible. The wedding we came for was beyond an event. The property was impeccable from the gardens to surf, and the food was the icing on top. Rooms and service were incredible. This resort is on the top of my list for a return visit!

Fabulous! Beautiful facilities (rooms, spa, fitness center) and great restaurants. Chef Sandros' culinary delights do not disappoint! In addition, the warmth, professionalism, and friendliness of the staff at Mas Olas made our trip truly special. A big shout out to Chef Sandros, Raquel, Marlen, Carlos, Giovanni, Jonathan, Josue, Dino, Francisco, Oliver, Adrian, Juan, and the entire group at Mas Olas. We will be back!

I had the most incredible stay at this boutique beachfront resort, Mas Olas in Todos Santos! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like family with their warm welcome and impeccable service. The resort is a hidden gem, offering stunning ocean views from every angle. The rooms are beautifully designed, blending modern luxury with traditional Mexican charm. The private beach is just a few steps away, perfect for morning walks or relaxing under the sun. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of fresh, local dishes that I couldn’t get enough of. I especially loved the intimate, relaxed atmosphere — it felt like a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The attention to detail in every aspect of the resort, from the spa treatments to the beachside cocktails, exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind and recharge. I’m already planning my next visit and can’t recommend this resort enough! If you're looking for a tranquil paradise with outstanding service, this is the place to be.

Beautifully designed resort! Everything is very well done! Super comfy beds, spacious bathrooms, loads of storage space. Staff are extremely attentive and helpful. Our favorite restaurant was Kahal- delicious! Jonathon and Rachel are delightful! Really can’t say enough good things! Highly recommend!,

The Mas Olas property is quite gorgeous, with an amazing ocean scene, and bonus…. a beautiful garden!! And We got a fabulous upgrade to room with a hottub on the deck with an incredible beach and sunset view! This is a place to come seriously chill. It’s very very quiet - welcome for this couple after staying in noisy Cabo with our kids earlier in the week. We were coming from Paradero which had been really disappointing so we were very very excited to stay at this Kimpton. 5 stars for the yoga teacher this past Thursday. She also worked the gym in the morning- she was lovely. Also the check in process was great and big thank you to Victor and the reception team. They were wonderful, sweet, and I’m very grateful they could offer us an early check in and upgrade. Much appreciated! Be prepared and Know It’s at the end of a long rough dirt road so rent a car, and be prepared to walk a lot so bring your Fitbit:) and enjoy the gym and spa! Lots of dirt paths so don’t pack high heels. I would just say for the price that service should feel over the top 5 star luxury. And it just didn’t. It did not feel like there was much staff around, they answered about 75% of the what’s app questions, they did not come to the chairs in front of the pool to take any drink orders etc. And while I dont expect any special treatment - typically a hotel of this caliber might send an amenity for an anniversary while I had what’s apped about ahead of time and told several people upon arrival. The QR code for the room service was beside the bed, so we made our order plan and only after calling to order our found out that room service menu that day was not available, and instead that it was from the Botanica restaurant that day, which meant not even guac and chips were an option. That restaurant and Kahal (closed that night) both look like gorgeous places to eat and like super fine dining - sometimes tho you just want a quesadilla and guac and to chill in room (note this stay is about total quiet and relaxing/ there are no tv’s in the room). So having no other choice we did end up ordering room service From botanica - the shrimp pizza is good, the sausage potato one not so much. The seafood fish taco was also excellent. We were just feeling like food was pretty limited options that night. My husband had breakfast the next morning and I had Lunch at Centro- both were ok, but not wow. We were scheduled for 3 nights but left after 1. Overall I’d say Mas Olas is a solid 4 for the holiday high pricing. FYI - If you are willing to leave to go off property go eat at Pescadero 62 thats 9 minutes away for dinner and Tequila Sunrise for lunch in Todo Santos- and go to Baja Pirates for incredible driving - like a once in a lifetime experience!!
