Generally good location and services! Just the shower temperature is a bit unstable.

It was a bit shabby Staff were nice Breakfast was very disappointing Definitely wouldn’t recommend taking the breakfast option

Nice stay at the Bay Majestic Asked for a different room so we got bigger windows, which was arranged no problem (thank you). Overall it was a nice stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ordered at the table. Sausage I was served was clearly a very budget one. Shame as the rest of the hot breakfast was good. Choice of 'other' breakfast was limited to 3 cereals and toast. Checkout at 10am is very early

After reading descriptions of the hotel we expected at least semi-luxury, but OHHHHH were we dissapointed. The room we were allocated was spacious and the bed was quite comfortable, but there ends anything nice we can say. The windows were painted shut. and were so dirty on the outside that the so called 'sea view' we were promised was all but hidden. The heating was permanently on which was nice for a few minutes when you got in from the cold, but the rest of the time made it very uncomfortable. One of the power sockets near the window was literally hanging off so we couldn't use it without fear of being electrocuted. The shower was built for midgets as it couldn't be raised any higher than 4ft, so we did a lot of crouching to get under the flow, and the side of the bath was hanging off at one end. We left the card outside asking for the room to be cleaned and new towels etc. - this was ignored so after 4 nights the bin was overflowing. Now, the worst thing of all - we had paid extra for breakfasts, so went down on the first morning in anticipation of a nice fry up. After sitting at our table for half an hour and not seeing any staff, I had to go and find somebody to take our order. I asked for sausages, fried eggs, beans and hash browns. My wife struggled to get the waiter to understand that she wanted scrambled eggs on toast so she ended up just saying that she would have the same as me. Another 10 minutes later we received our breakfasts, which consisted of 1 sausage, 1 hashbrown, 1 VERY undercooked runny fried egg with the consistency of snot and a spoon full of lukewarm beans. I tried to eat it but left most of it (see pictures) so the remaining mornings we went out early and had wonderful breakfasts elsewhere. We couldn't get a refund for the room so we had to just grin and bare it, otherwise we would have left on the first day and found somewhere much nicer. Luckily at least the weather was fairly nice each day so we spent our time out at Hastings, Rye and Dungeness, only using the room to sleep in. If we could give less than 1/5 for the score we would!

The hotel was functional but could do with an refurbishment.
