Embassy Suites by Hilton East Peoria Riverfront Hotel & Conference Center

Rooms are outdated. Carpet dirty I had a river view but the windows were extremely dirty with spider snd spider webs covering them. Disgusting Front desk staff is rude. I asked for an early checkout (1 day early ) and they refused too work with me. I was charged for parking eve though I did not have a car. The only bright side was the omelette bar. It was very good and the service was impeccable.. Free drinks are a joke.. They serve you paint thinner caliber liquors to color the water…

Pro: very comfortable office chair in living room, Cons: Anyone walking by any room can look in because curtains don’t close. Deadbolt on my room was about to fall off. Furniture, rugs, and curtains all dirty. Food ok, not great. Staff friendly and efficient. Nice water view. Looks like it’s been decades since decor was updated. Would not stay here again,

Booked a king size bed for the night Arrived and was told they are out and we would be in a room with two double beds. Old and dated accommodations. Couch had a 6 inch tear in it, towel had stains The best part was breakfast and the staff that morning

What a great room with a beautiful view of the river! Housekeeping did a fantastic job, and the room was super clean. I loved that we got a large suite for our weekend stay. This had to be, without a doubt, the best hotel stay I have ever had. The free breakfast was incredible and could not believe we had free drinks and snacks every night

I love the ambience of this hotel. We stayed there 10 years ago and I loved it. Fast forward 10 years and the hotel rooms look more like 30 years older. The furniture is outdated, that generally doesn’t bother me but it looked dirty as well ( we used a sheet to cover it). The chair had crumbs all over it, the bed skirt was filthy and the bed spread smelled clean but looked dirty. The carpet in the entire hotel needs to be replaced; spots all over and it is bunched up in places. In our room there was a huge dirty sticky spot in front of our sink. I asked the front desk manager to take care of the crumbs, sticky spot and dirty bed coverings, he assured me he would take care of it. None of those things ever got done. I asked the maid to vacuum the crumbs the next day and she told me they don’t vacuum on stay overs ( we were there for 4 nights ), I tried to explain that it was like that when we got here she told me to tell the front desk ( twilight zone). I decided to borrow a vacuum cleaner and do it myself, she started cuss at me and said she was using it, I said I thought you said you didn’t vacuum, anyway still cussing at me I started to go let the front desk know, then I decided to tell her that I was sorry and wasn’t trying to make trouble or make her job any harder. Then she asked if a sticky roller would do it and I thanked her and did the job myself; I also emptied my own garbage and got me own towels. At this point I figured there was no use, just live with it and wear shoes in the room and wipe them off when we left. Everything else about the hotel was very nice, breakfast, evening happy hour, lots of room and places to visit. All the other staff were very pleasant.

Beautiful hotel located on the Illinois river. Incredibly beautiful atrium. I was impressed with the quick check in. Being a Hilton member I also used my digital key. My go to hotel when I’m in town . I love the Evening reception at the bar, I sat outside on the patio enjoyed a few drinks and apps.

My recent stay at Embassy Suites in East Peoria, IL was exceptional, thanks to the outstanding service provided by Sunny and the rest of the staff. Sunny's attentiveness and friendly demeanor made my experience truly memorable. The spacious suites, complimentary amenities, and convenient location added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. I highly recommend Embassy Suites East Peoria for a comfortable and welcoming hotel experience. I look forward to returning in the future!

I do not usually write reviews but I had to following my recent stay at Embassy suites in East Peoria. The staff was so incredible and was a reminder of what great service feels like. Front desk,l and breakfast people could not have been more attentive and helpful.

I don't know if the building is old or if it has just not been well-maintained... but it is in desperate need of some attention. The carpet in the room was bubbled and had multiple tears. The lights in the bathroom wouldn't stay on, so I was plunged into solid darkness mid-shower. The floor of the shower had the remnants of an old bath mat, leaving gross looking brown staining in the floor of the tub. The toilet flushed loud enough to wake the dead. The breakfast was horrible; the diced potatoes were cold, the biscuits tasted as though they'd been warmed 2 days prior to being served, and the coffee was extremely bitter. Hotel coffee is never 'good' per se, but that coffee really walked the line of being comparable to what I'd assume battery acid tastes like. The worst part for me was the staff- the bartender was super rude to another patron when he'd asked about the complimentary drinks (they stopped serving those literally ONE MINUTE prior to this customer asking about it) to which the bartender replied she 'can't serve the free stuff all night' and 'that's not how business works' Um, you could've just said "I'm sorry, the complimentary hour is over." Then, the next morning, my husband and I were looking at the options for the made-to-order omelets. (For the record, there was no one waiting behind us). While my husband was deciding if he wanted to do that or pick items from the buffet, the chef asked, "You guys gonna order something or what?" I won't recommend this location to anyone until the building is renovated, and the staff is retrained to work effectively in the hospitality industry. You don't have to actually love your job, but you should probably make an effort to at least make the patrons THINK you love it.
