The King and Queen

Tastefully decorated, set in a old barn behind the pub, continental breakfast in the room. Restaurant is not open on a Monday and the bar closes at 8pm. No nearby shops. Own parking space. Downside blind did not work and the Refuse collection came at 05.45 ! Overall charming place to stay

Lovely stay Always a wonderful stay, clean, fresh room, comfy bed, great shower, TV, lovely continental breakfast in the room, cereals, breakfast bars, fruit, fresh milk, orange juice and yogurts in the fridge, plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits, replenished daily. Lovely staff. Can't fault it!

A lovely room, well appointed We arrived shattered, checked in easily with a lovely member of staff and was shown to our room. My fault entirely, in my haste to book I didn't pick up the room was located at the back of the pub - there was a fair amount of noise until gone 11pm (Saturday) - wouldn't normally be an issue but with an early start that day and the following day it wasn't ideal. Breakfast choices were left in the room (cereals, porridge, yoghurt, granola bar, fruit and orange juice) which was perfectly fine and appreciated. There were a couple of marks on the bedding - clearly something like black ink, nothing suspicious and for me the bed was a bit too soft (we all have different tastes). The room (1) had everything needed, also windows on two sides and a great fan to counter the heat. Would we stay again - yes, if we were not reliant on sleep and an early start.
