Aldrich Guest House

We keep coming back to the Aldrich Guest House and they never disappoint!!! The personal touches they include always impress us! The entire experience is amazing but the breakfasts are on another level!! We even stayed an extra day so we could enjoy one more breakfast!

My husband and I enjoyed every bit of our stay at the Aldrich Guest House! Immediately upon our arrival we were greeted by Robert & Douglas for a quick tour and given the history of the house. The house was in perfect condition and incredibly clean. We stayed in room #2 and we found it very comfortable and spacious for the two of us. We usually don’t get the best night sleep away from home, but we both got an amazing night sleep for the two nights we spent at the house (made possible by a comfortable bed and by the small fan we found in the closet to contribute to some white noise as we do at our home, we were thrilled to find it!). I would like to give an honorable mention to the bath robes in our room - such a simple way to make a stay feel luxurious. We never heard anyone else in the home unless they were walking by our door, so it truly felt like a private stay. Evening drinks were delicious and the conversation was delightful. Breakfast was equally fabulous for both mornings - you could tell how much care was put into the meals. The walk to downtown was a lovely 10-15 minute walk and very simple to navigate. Robert offered up so many great recommendations that we felt we knew the town before we even saw it. We would absolutely love to stay with Robert & Douglas again!

We were completely amazed by our stay in Galena ! Our hosts, Robert and Douglas were wonderful to visit with, experts at the Galena history, restaurants and activities in and around Galena. Our daily breakfasts were all made with fresh ingredients expertly prepared! Cocktail hour was just as exceptional. Our room was beautiful, impeccably clean, with a beautiful view of their many flower gardens. The house was well laid out with many options for relaxation. All of our fellow guests were wowed by their stay, we all voiced the exceptional service, beautiful breakfasts and witty conversation with our hosts. I will always remember what a warm and inviting visit we enjoyed with Robert and Douglas. Thank you so much!

The decor was adorable. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious, both breakfast and the popcorn with the cocktail hour. It was close enough to downtown that we were able to walk easily, which helped us avoid a lot of traffic and parking situations. The hosts had a lot of great recommendations for where to go. They were so kind and friendly.

This was my best stay at any place I went before.I have told all my friends and family about it. The host where so wonderful and welcomed you like family. Their breakfest and drinks where the best I had my whole stay in Galena. If you are looking for a place to truly relax this is your place.
