The Baywatch Resort

Very comfortable beds very nice shower great view of the bay for 129. We stayed at the Alexandra in last May just after Memorial Day. It was a few dollars cheaper, but it only had one king and a corner view but these beds here were awesome. I don’t know what brand they were but for a big guy like myself it worked out great. We stayed at the Sugar Beach resort year two ago and that was nice also but I believe that had a king and a queen which was fine and it also had a indoor pool, hot tub, but they were a little bit higher this time around the end of October for a foliage tour and golf I will try again here for sure

3 day stay at Baywatch resort 10/3-10/7 2024. Breakfast available to be delivered to room at a range of times was convenient, nothing amazing but more convenient than getting dressed to go out for breakfast. Coffee was available every morning and through out the day. Front desk gave an excellent suggestion for dinner. Chairs on the balcony could have been 6 inches higher to better let one appreciate the gorgeous view of East Traverse bay. Overall great stay, would revisit.

Rooms were reasonably well appointed & clean, but as we were a family of 3 sharing the room, there was only one bed, & a bed settee! The breakfast left a lot to be desired! You have to pick from a list the night before, & have it delivered to your room the following morning, in a box! however the choice was poor, no hot food, no cereal, horrible cartons of fruit juice, minimal quantity! NOT worth the cost we paid for our three night stay! Would NOT recommend

So I arrived with the intentions on spending the day at the small sandy beach however, when I made my way down to the waterfront the whole shoreline was litterly crawling with gnats. So although these are common in Michigan and I am also from Michigan it was awful and so many that they not only covered the shoreline but they were floating on top of the water. My complaint with this is only "Let Me Know" at check-in that this is the case that's all. Now the hotel overall was nice, clean room, free box breakfast, and a wonderful view. I also wondered yesterday if the lounge chairs were cleaned daily because they were pretty dirty with cobwebs and spiders but as I sit here this morning I see a young man cleaning them "Thank you young man." The room was clean, hardwood floors and a wonderful shower with great water pressure and an actual exhaust fan in the bathroom which is hard to find in hotels anymore, a nice comfortable bed with comfortable sheets, small refrigerator, microwave and a keurig. I will say Starbucks is down the road for some stronger coffee.

New hotel on a sugar sand beach with a compact room but just perfect for a nights stay. Private beach with peaceful waters and a Mediterranean feel. Spectacular service from front desk staffer, Dee. Clean room and marvelous views in East Traverse Bay

We really loved this hotel. The bay view rooms have a gorgeous view of the bay and the beach (and it's so quiet and peaceful no matter the time of day). They have all of the basic accommodations that I often find missing in a lot of hotels these days such as vending machines, 24 hour complimentary coffee/tea bar, and a microwave. The night auditor provided excellent service when we arrived at 1am to check in. The room was pretty clean and the bed very comfortable. Things I wish were a little better: The floor in the room had some sand all over it (even though we never went to the beach and didn't wear shoes past the doorway), so it seemed like it was from previous guests that wasn't cleaned very properly. We asked for housekeeping service during one of the days, and we requested trash, restocking and sweeping. The trash was taken out and they gave us new towels, but they didn't restock anything else that was empty and didn't seem like they swept. Regardless, the small housekeeping issues weren't enough for me to knock them down a star since the overall experience and the views were great!

Right on the beach with a great view from the balcony rooms. Nice beach with chairs, umbrellas and beach towels and toys. You order free breakfast daily that is delivered to the room. Jimmy Dean egg sausage muffin, oatmeal, yogurt, orange juice and fruit. A little odd but good. No grab bars in the shower unless you get a special room. They said they have bars that can be attached but I don't trust those. Not sure why they don't have one on one of the shower doors. All in all, it was a great experience and I would stay there again.

Planned a short family getaway to TC. We booked the Baywatch Resort but was a little nervous because it didn’t have as many reviews as others in the area. From the moment we booked the customer service was exceptional. We received texts leading up to our trip asking if we needed anything prior to our arrival. Once we got there, they allowed us to check in 30 min early and explained the breakfast card process. I know other reviews had negative things to say about it, but honestly, it was perfect for a quick something in the morning that didn’t require a whole process of everyone getting ready and going to a crowded free breakfast. The kids were fine with the cereal and oatmeal. When we arrived to the room, it was very clean and bright and our view of the bay was beautiful. We got a text almost immediately asking if we needed anything. We asked for additional pillows and they were up to our room within 10 min. Access to the beach was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. There were plenty of chairs and lounge chairs available for use and the beach was super clean and reset each day. We ended up renting paddle boards and the convenience to rent was perfect, just a short walk from the resort. One con, the main floor elevator and hallway area got a little gross as the day went on from sand, but honestly what do you expect from being literally right on the beach. It was nice and clean the next morning. The pro is they provided an area to rinse the sand off when leaving the beach. They also provided water toys like pool noodles and floats for use which was cool. The resort was very quiet even though they seemed pretty busy. There were staff throughout the resort cleaning and available for anything you needed. I highly recommend this resort and will definitely be returning.

We visit Traverse City often each year and try a variety of hotels. Baywatch was our latest and must say we were impressed. It was bright, clean, friendly staff and had flooring instead of carpets in the rooms. A beautiful beach to relax and enjoy. We would stay again.
