Econo Lodge Inn & Suites

We stayed 2 nights at this Econolodge, while touring Mesa Verde, and was checked in by Jasmine. Pros - Large king bed room, good bed and linens, mostly clean. Cons - No hot water in the bathroom sink, No bathroom fan, black around the shower fixtures, the showerhead was fixed and couldn't take a shower without getting my hair wet, Tiny pedestal sink, a small TV. Breakfast was minimal - Fresh waffles, cereals, muffins, apples, orange juice and coffee.

Reservation pour une nuit dans le cadre d’un road trip entre Denver et Las Vegas. Très bien situé avec accès facile. Personnel très aimable, les chambres sont propres et la literie confortable. J’y ai passé une nuit reposante et calme. Je recommande cet hôtel.

This was a pretty nice place. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was nice and spacious and clean. We stayed here for two nights. It was nice to have some muffins/bananas/coffee available before starting the day. Would definitely stay again.

Traveling through Durango. It was late and we were ready for showers and sleep. First impression when checking in was the guy working the desk was super unfriendly. We couldn’t have felt anymore unwelcome. If there had been any other hotels here with vacancies we would have left immediately. All that was left available was a room with 2 king beds one of which slats were broken at the end of the bed. When we got up and went down for breakfast and all they had was coffee juice and waffles. For almost $200 for a room one would think friendly service unbroken furniture and a decent breakfast would be available. We won’t be back

I chose this because it had good TripAdvisor reviews (which they proudly display at the check in desk), and because the photos look great. It does not look like that! From the outside, this looked like a motel from the 60’s. Inside has clearly been updated with some nice touches…laminate flooring, ceramic tile in the bathroom, granite sink top. But our queen bed room was incredibly small and cramped, which would be tolerable if all you need is to come in and go straight to bed. But some “little things” were disconcerting, like curtains sagging off the rod, the incessant drip in the sink, reaching for the bath towel after showering and discovering it was damp (like it had been taken out of the dryer too soon—-I HOPE that was why it was damp, since the alternative gives me the heebie-jeebies”). But the deal breaker was the cooling system, which is controlled from some central point. The fan, which was supposed to give us some measure of control, did not work at all. I just do not like the idea of not being able to set the temperature to our preference. I was very disappointed that this did not measure up to the expectations TripAdvisor reviews and photos created.

I stayed in Econolodge with my family for three nights in August 2023. It was a terrible experience. Outside of the room appear like prison. Corridors smells pee and extremely hot. Walls are moldy and dirty. Room show us another aspect of terrible place. Everything old and beaten. Bathroom is moldy from the lamp in the ceiling to the walls and corners. You don’t like to touch anything. Breakfast is the minimum quality. Cleaning ladies are nice tough. We chose here just because it was cheap in comparison with other places. Don’t worth to the money

Surprisingly great room for pet friendly! Spacious for our kid & pup. More parking "in back," drive to an alley in the back with a half dozen more spaces. In my experience, this had better mattresses than many other establishments I have had in the past decade of travel. Still not a Queen size, yet much more comfy than their peers. Secret for the puppy owners: there is a quaint little park two blocks down by the Catholic Church & School. The grass is nice & shady for the dogs visiting it.

Stayed here for two nights either side of riding the Durango and Silverton Railroad and overnighting in Silverton. Obviously we didn't get the refurbished rooms either night we stayed. Both were pretty dingy, dark and very dated. The second room (115) must have had a faulty thermostat because the A/C stayed on all night long but didn't do anything just made a noise. The TV speaker was blown so impossible to watch or listen to anything. All I can say is it is convenient for the railroad and downtown and relatively low cost compared to others in the area but would not go back.

Great location for a stroll into town. Room was a good size, comfortable and clean with coffee pot, fridge etc. staff very friendly. Breakfast basic but ok to go. Nice covered smoking area. Parking outside your room.
