Wow. Incredibly comfortable bed and beautifully decorated room. Had a great stay and slept like a baby. Way nicer than the price/night would suggest. Whole place just been totally refurbished by new owners. Bar and restaurant also great. Perfect place to escape to for a day or two. Try it!

Great local hotel. The Saturday evening meal was well prepared and tasty. The service was timely and friendly. The hotel was busy but not packed. All-in-all, we had an enjoyable evening out with a good meal and excellent service. I would recommend the Black Bull in Duns to anyone.

Super comfy bed and pillows, great shower (plenty of water), warm cosy room (cold December day). Paul the manager was fantastic- looked after us really well and v helpful. Whole experience was relaxing and enjoyable. Great breakfast too.

I could not recommend the Black Bull in Duns more highly. The pub has been recently renovated and the attention to detail was second to none. The rooms were incredibly clean and the beds were seriously comfy. I had two of the best nights sleep in months!! The breakfast was top notch as well. I will be looking at any excuse to come back and I highly recommend anybody to visit - you will not be disappointed!!

Whilst we sat down to a delicious and substantial breakfast, my friends and I wondered why on earth we don’t have beds as comfortable as this at home. It seems crazy to enjoy such immense comfort for only a couple of nights. A deep bath, a lovely looking shower (which was not tried) and a milk bottle shaped chilly bottle on the tea tray adding an extra element of class.

We went for lunch to The Black Bull in duns on a Saturday, we hadn’t booked but the staff were so lovely and friendly, no problem for us to have a great table right by a log burning stove. Such a good pub, warm and cosy, delicious beers on tap and cider. 2 adults and 3 kids we had such good food , fish and chips, burgers and scampi with truffle fries. Chocolate brownie - yum. Best pub in the Scotland we’ve been to , such a good atmosphere and beautifully decorated too. We will definitely be back .

My husband and I recently stayed here with 6 other couples and had the best night. The staff were so welcoming and the pub had the most chilled, fun atmosphere. The rooms were so beautifully decorated and the whole pub and rooms had recently been refurbished to a very high standard. The rooms were understated chic with everything you could wish for. Unbelievably comfortable beds, beautiful linen and fluffy, divine white towels. Power shower was incredible. We stayed for dinner and breakfast and the food was delicious and the service was great. We will be returning.. highly recommend.

Very comfortable and big bed. Rooms clean and nicely decorated. Newly renovated. Proper power shower and quiet at night. Manager Paul charming landlord type looked after us extremely well. We ate in pub but our daughter had a pizza from take away next door same business. Very good

I can seriously say that my husband and I had the best nights sleep we’ve had in a long time staying at the Black Bull. The comfiest bed, fluffiest pillows/towels and a beautifully decorated room with wonderful attention to detail. Great tea/coffee making facilities with fresh milk (and tea cakes!) left in a flask. Luxurious shower gel, great lighting and plentiful charging points. All in all a place we will definitely return to in the future.
