Apartment and Rooms Stay

Positives: Location - The location is 10/10. It’s right in the centre of Old Town so easy to nip back part way through the day / before a night out. Space - Our room had a bedroom area, small sofa and tea / coffee station plus a dining table for 2 Air con - Yes there was air con but it went onto the dining table, not the bedroom. It wasn’t hot enough that we needed it when we visited Check in - The hosts were unavailable so the lovely cleaning lady checked us in. Facilities - In the room was a fridge, safe and wardrobe Communication - Communication with the hosts beforehand was very good. Negatives: Noise - The room overlooked the Irish Pub in Old Town which even on a Sunday and Monday night had live music from 9pm - 1am. And it was LOUD. Perhaps a different apartment would’ve been quieter but ours was VERY LOUD Cleanliness - The room was clean. The bathroom needs a good clean as there’s mould in the shower and a permanent damp smell Maintenance - The building is old and there are unfinished parts in the communal hallway. Both windowsills in our bedroom were damaged. The shower head holder in the bathroom was broken. The shelf in the bedroom was loose. The building issues were kind of endearing, and the bedroom issues didn’t affect our stay. Steps - It was no problem for us being young, healthy and without luggage, but the rooms were on the 3rd floor and higher, so could be difficult for those with mobility issues or luggage

Highlights: - Location could not be better. Right behind the Temple of Jupiter, steps from the Palace Forum. Plenty of places to drink and eat around. - Clean. Bedroom and a sitting room. Terrace on the first-floor apartment is great. - Full kitchen of you want to cook. - Luka, owner and manager, was excellent. To be aware of: - Like other apartments, no elevator, no staff on site, need to coordinate with manager arrival and departure and other needs. Not a problem. - Bathroom/shower space is quite small, it could be uncomfortable depending on your size. - Windows are double pane, but you will still have noise from outside everywhere in the old city. Pack your earplugs.
