Hotel Uvala

Super Nice hotel. Clean and comfortable. Shower is one of the best with good water pressure for all of the hotels that we have stayed in Europe. Great and friendly services. If you are busy visiting the city, there is not much value to book the Rooms with sea view and balcony. Parking is extra at 12 Euro per day.

We have just returned home from our trip staying at Hotel Uvala. We had a great stay, and from the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly members of staff who were very welcoming and helpful. Two of the three rooms that we had booked were ready straight away, even though we had arrived a few hours before our due time, the main man on reception, (sorry can’t remember his name) was great and made a call and within ten minutes the third room was ready. He was very accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were spotlessly clean with plenty of space, and a comfortable bed. We had a wonderful view from the balcony over the bay which was stunning. The house keeping team were ready each day to replace the towels and clean our rooms, they provided a superb service, thank you to the ladies that looked after our rooms. The restaurant and bar staff were very friendly and helpful too, and were on hand if needed. Jayson was a very friendly member of the team who looked after us very well, and always had a smile. The free fruit in the afternoons was a pleasant surprise, and enjoyed by all while sat relaxing around the pool. The outdoor pool was very a very nice spot to cool down, plus an advantage of having the great view while having a swim, the indoor pool was like a warm bath, and also very inviting. Not a great amount of space around the pool, but we never struggled to get a lounger to soak up the sun. The location of Hotel Uvala is very good and only a short walk down the hill to the beach, with plenty of choice for places to eat and drink, and also a local supermarket which was reasonably priced. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, which takes you to Dubrovnik old town( no 4 bus) which is also worth a visit. We have really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Uvala, and if we return to Dubrovnik in the future would certainly consider staying here again. Must mention Ma Belle cafe bar, great place for drinks and really cheap, and Scala restaurant, fantastic food and friendly service. Also Cave Bar More is a quirky place and worth a visit, which is on the other side of the bay opposite the hotel.

Wir waren im Hotel Uvala im Restaurant essen – und es war ein Genuss! Der heutige BBQ-Abend, war absolut fantastisch. Die Atmosphäre war entspannt mit einem herrlichem Blick auf das Meer. Das Grillbuffet war reichhaltig und frisch – von saftigen Fleischsorten über perfekt gegrillten Fisch bis hin zu leckeren vegetarischen Optionen war für jeden etwas dabei. Die Beilagen und Salate waren abwechslungsreich und liebevoll angerichtet. Auch das Dessertbuffet war ein Traum! Das Personal war stets freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr professionell. Man merkt, dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wird. Wer in Dubrovnik ist, sollte sich den BBQ-Abend am Dienstagabend im Hotel Uvala auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen. Absolut empfehlenswert!
