The staff were really good at this hotel and the location is great but some other things let the place down, mainly around the building itself. Cleanliness is desperately lacking. Our room wasn’t the cleanest and it was clear no one checks the fridges in the communal areas as there was mouldy food in there for our full stay. The rooms were very hot and unfortunately there were no fans available at reception. Having the window open would solve this problem but there is a club on the ground floor of the same building which can be heard until the early hours. Roller blinds also meant that, given the window opened inwards, it was difficult to have the window open and the blinds fully down when sleeping. The heavy fire doors also made huge bangs every time someone went through, which again made it difficult to sleep.
