The accommodation was far from the luxury we were expecting, having stayed at the Five Palm Hotel numerous times I am familiar with the standards of the hotel, we expected the Maison Privee apartments to mirror this however I could not have been more wrong. Upon arrival, all lights were flickering constantly and bathroom lights did not work, the floor had not been cleaned and was filthy, the bedding in guest bedroom had mascara stains on pillows, shower area was moldy, damp and toiletry pumps were empty. The toilet in the guest bathroom was also leaking very heavily causing a puddle on the floor. Having brought the issues to the hosts attention they tried to provide a quick fix however as I mentioned this was too little too late. They offered a complimentary cleaning however upon reading my agreement we should have had 1 clean during our stay anyway. We were supposed to stay 7 nights however upon the 4th night, my father had to visit the pharmacist who confirmed he was bitten by bed bugs so we alerted the accommodation immediately and once again they offered alternative arrangements elsewhere in a lesser complex which they charge less for per night, they refused to offer a refund even though we had no option but to leave the property and have still to contact me regarding this, we had to leave the property with 2 nights to go costing us much more money to move elsewhere. My advice to anyone considering Maison Privee would be - DO NOT BOOK. I hope my feedback explains the situation they left us in and hopefully they finally contact us with a resolution as so far they we have heard nothing and they have taken payment in full for the property. Terrible service & considering we are still subject to COVID measures in Dubai the host should have ensured the accommodation was sanitized and clean.
