Checked-in at 230p today, Tuesday, 24 June 2025. Went to take elevator to 2nd floor. Door wouldn't close. I pushed button to close doors, and would not work. I attempted to exit. Door creeped halfway closed. The manager attempted to close door by hand. It closed. Went up to room to check the condition. I left to go to work by 3p. Arrived back at hotel after 1130p, in that after getting off work at 11p. After smelling a strong odor of bleach, I went into the bathroom. The floor was flooded. Toilet was covered in water. Shower walls and tub were covered in water. I immediately called the front desk. The attendant came up. After accusing me of the damage, for the first time, he left to go get a mop. I asked him whether he smelled the bleach as well. After literally sniffing heavily like some canine, he said that he couldn't smell it. He told me that he would mop up the water, and that the ceiling fan would dry the room. That I merely couldn't use the bathroom for the night. After he mopped the floor, stated that he'd return by 1am. That he would check to see whether the floor was dry or needed to be mopped again. I informed him that I wouldn't be staying. I told him that I would be expecting a full refund. He told refused. He seriously thought that I'd continue to stay. He stated at first there weren't any other rooms available. That the hotel was booked. I grabbed my belonging and followed him out of the room. As to not to get blamed for any additional damage. I told him that I would turn off the fan and light in the bathroom that he left on. That he turned on while standing in water and touched with wet hands. He certainly wasn't intelligent. He knew not to take the elevator, as we took the stairs. Again, not even marked with "caution" tape or otherwise. Press the button to go down, wont even light up. If press the up button, it light up. Elevator made a banging sound. At the service desk, I repeatedly asked for a refund. He again refused. Stated that I'd have to take it up with the manager, Joy. I asked for a record of the access to my room. He again refused. He stated they only issue cards, not track their access to any doors. I repeatedly told him that I didn't do any damage to the room, and that I wasn't paying for any of it. He repeatedly kept implying that I was at fault. He stated that he would write it on the back of the copy of my cancellation that he printed. I told him no, that I wanted a printed record of my access. He refused. He then attempted to pass me the paper, in that telling me "write whatever you want and I will sign it". I informed him that is illegal. He wrote a brief statement and handed it to me. He said that he attempted to call the manager, but stated "he never calls me back". The entire incident was recorded on my iPhone.
