Hi, I would like a refund for my stay. I was not able to check in because the ID verification page was down and the property had no in-person front desk.
The host responded very slowly and the phone was not reachable after the first call. I was standing cold outside with absolutely no one on the street to help. I was lucky to find a lodging place down the street. This experience was definitely not what a traveler was expecting in an unfamiliar and less populated city by yourself.
Both the property and ******* should make this clear that this is an unmanned lodging with nobody to help and questionable reliability. If you want a peace of mind, you should be looking for somewhere else.
This was an unfortunate case due to a technical issue with the website. Once again it is up to your call as I have no procedural power to let you refund me. I cannot even reach out to ******* about past booking. But in good faith I think the property and ******* should refund the traveler and do better next time.
