I've seen some harsh reviews on this hotel that I believe are not comparable to my experience. The night at this hotel was peaceful and enjoyable. The AC could be set cold enough to run you out of the room I appreciate that more than you can imagine. The hostess at breakfast kept the food well stocked and the area clean. No negatives at this hotel. A lot of people may have agreed, the parking lot was packed when we left the next morning.

Clean and good breakfast

My family, along with two small dogs, was heading to Florida to visit family and needed a midpoint stop. After a morning at work followed by a long drive, we arrived late at this hotel. When we booked, we did so through the Best Western website. We reserved two separate rooms: one a standard King room and the other a Pet-Friendly room. Upon checkout, there is a section that breaks down the costs. We completely understand that some hotels charge a pet fee. We chose this one because the prices were reasonable, and the cost breakdown at checkout specifically showed 'FEES CHARGED UPON ARRIVAL: $0.00.' When we arrived at the hotel, it was late, and we were exhausted, as we had both worked our day jobs and then driven all day to get there. The desk clerk then added an additional fee of nearly $60 for the pets!! This is not what the checkout screen on the Best Western site showed in the price breakdown! I've tried to resolve this issue with customer service, but their support is nearly nonexistent. The first time, they appear to have been ignored when they tried to contact the hotel's management. The second time, the management provided only a vague explanation that fees may be charged at the hotel. So, does that mean the website's clear statement of '$0.00 in fees due upon arrival' is simply to be ignored? Best Western has lost a customer over this. We stayed at an alternate hotel on the way back, and it was so much nicer compared to the bait-and-switch tactic this hotel pulled. I've included a photo showing how they get you with this. I tried to repeat a booking of a pet-friendly room and you can see where it clearly states that there is a $0.00 fees due at the hotel.

There was no bedding for the sofa bed, so picked up phone to call front desk, and the phone cord came right off so couldn’t call either- not a pleasant stay
