cozy five story appartment feel to it. What should have been really pleasant was awful. First evening I hear 'dobra, molim' I am not sure which language, loudly and often. Complete disregard for the neighboring verandah. I breathe in deeply to let them know I am on the verandah and receive a loud belch. High pitched stereotype female shouting at a bloke. Turns out 'heavy feet' upstairs who banged on the ceiling a few times is the Home at Friends booking person friend. Any wonder he looked at me with an exaggerated 'she did that, really' look. It only clicked when she stamped her generous weight on the ceiling again and I went upstairs to enquire, why. True to shouting female form she reprimands me for using her door buzzer. The bloke is normal for ten seconds then shows the demeanor I expected. Shouting, no stamp on floor, no stamp on floor. His manner was close to being violent. Remembering I have paid up front €350 for a week. This is the huge disadvantage with paying up front. Paying at the end, I would have left after the first night. Stamp her foot was a real piece of work. You might have experienced this behaviour. Every time for me it has been a woman. Every time I had a shower she would turn her taps on and off to unpleasant my experience. Every cough she would tap on something. If someone had the flu...oh the tapping This is the behaviour of someone who sits at home all day every day with nothing to do. The apartment should have been wonderful, and it was clean and well maintained except for one chair that has a leg disabled and needs fixing. It's a *********** apartment with mostly foreign builders. At least that is all I heard. I have stayed at three foreign builder apartment providers and the noise issue is the same. Different cultures of that occupation seem to accept elevated levels of noise with disregard for others. To call a spade a spade and recognising the general German habit of keeping quiet after 10 pm I would ask before you book these apartments 'are the builders German?' and simply mention the German likelihood of being culturally quiet after 10pm. It is not racist. It is acknowledging cultural habits that mightbe unacceptable to you. Like spitting in public knowingly near someone. My new apartment has no noise issues and I am so grateful for the peace. Not having ongoing noise tension is important. And a reply from the booking manager defending upstairs and the 'dobra, molim' apartment will be expected when his clientthe provides a stream of lucrative apartment filling workers. It was clear after his first attempt at controlling the noise which momentarily was helpful that he was not going to answer the phone about any other complaint especially with his friend upstairs. The client matters more than an 'Urlauber'. And watching TV after a long day out is reasonable behaviour.
