Bay Tree House

Nice B&B Nice B&B. Owners were friendly. Room was a little dated, quite dusty and incredibly hot.

The Bay Tree House was lovely. The room was clean and comfortable; Gary was friendly and helpful; and the location is a short walk to town. I also walked to both of Thomas Hardy’s homes. Max Gate was a leisurely ten minutes away; the cottage was a longer walk, but the route through the Dorset countryside was indescribably beautiful.

I am used to staying in hotels, I thought I'll try a b&b . Saw this one and another in weymouth. I risked it for a biscuit, and decided to stay where I spend many happy memories at kingston maurward. Never thought I'd stay in dorch again. I saw the reviews and had to see myself. I was greated and shown to my room. Impressed. Looked around my room, impressed and free parking, impressed. Breakfast in morning, impressed. Nice, bright rooms. Lovely done out. Lovely tea, coffee and water. Nice bed, it was just so nice and I was really impressed. Quiet and good load of channels. Gary was lovely and reminds me of my dad. Looks like him a bit. Impressed with the breakfast room. The tv room. What is this? It's not a b and b, it's should be a high end hotel. I will be coming back and I will be signing gary and Nicola praises. Thank you for great hospitality. Top end.

Short Notice I booked late and last minute through an app, but it was no problem. After over 5 hours of driving I was ready to relax and sleep and Bay Tree was perfect for this. I booked the single room with ensuite so had to climb to the top floor but did this with ease, even with three bags. The room was clean and wonderfully comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was lovely and set me up well for my drive home. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Hopefully in nicer weather so I could take advantage of the gorgeous looking outdoor area they have.

Der Wirt war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unser Doppelzimmer war sehr eng, aber glücklicherweise waren 2 separate Betten, ein Waschbecken, Föhn und Wasserkocher (incl. Tee, Kaffee, Milch) vorhanden, das moderne Bad war auf dem Flur. Leider klemmte die Zimmertür so stark, dass wir sie über Nacht einen spaltbreit offen gelassen haben, um beim Gang zum Bad nicht zu viel Lärm zu machen. Beim Frühstück im modern eingerichteten, hellen Frühstücksraum saßen alle Gäste gemeinsam an einem großen runden Tisch, in dessen Mitte auf einer großen Drehscheibe eine reiche Auswahl an Cerealien, frischem Obst, Säfte, Brotaufstrich und vieles mehr angeboten wurde; dazu frisch getoastetes Brot und Eier nach Wahl. Sehr originell und kommunikativ!
