"The rooms were clean and spacious, and the toilets and showers worked without any problems. The location was also excellent, facing Dong Van's busiest main street and about a one-minute walk from the Sunday market. However, perhaps due to renovations, some rooms were not well maintained and some walls were peeling and exposed wiring. The price was reasonably low, so I think the quality was commensurate with the price."

"Great Hmong homestay just on the edge of town. If have own transport, this should be fine. Turned up after long journey from Ha Giang. Was welcomed with a fantastic family meal and hot bath/shower. Just what I needed. Breakfast was excellent in the morning; in terms of a chicken pho. Accommodation looks simple, but great attention to detail in the rooms; from heaters to electric blankets. All taken care of. Wouldn’t hesitate to return"

"The Nostalgia was a place to put our heads down for one night. It’s a hostel rather than a hotel and could really have benefited from a deep clean.  There is no elevator but the one redeeming feature of the hotel was how helpful the man on reception was. He was a credit to the property."
