On arrival at Reception @15.20hrs 24/01/2025, two lady Receptionists on the desk, one was dealing with a customer, the other was just gazing at her laptop totally ignoring me, I felt I was invisible! No acknowledgement of my presence whatsoever. I suggest this person is given some customer service training. I believe I was waiting around 7-10 minutes to register my arrival. No apology for the delay was forthcoming, possibly because the ONLY customer serving receptionist didn't want to embarrass her colleague?? The first room I was offered had to be rejected (Room 407), due to the chair having the most uninviting stain on the seat base cushion. It was so huge, I could not believe why the chair had not been removed from the room and replaced with an acceptable one. The second room was completely fine (Room 408) These rooms were in the annex. On a positive note. The Annex room was quiet and warm. The Beefeater next door gave excellent service from start to finish. The greeter at the entrance door to the waitress and the bar staff all very friendly and efficient. Food served was excellent, drinks great choice. One of the best I have been too. Finally would I choose this Premier Inn in the future should I need too?, the answer would be yes, great location, plenty of free parking space (at the time and date of my visit). I only hope that my concerns would be addressed and that it was only a ‘one off’, not to be repeated again.
