Baevu the Village

The place is good. But extremely expensive. The food is very limited. No shampoo kept in room. No cycle to play around. They charge 100 per day, but none of the cycles work. Quite a dry place. They asked us to pay the kid’s charge into the manager’s account. Camp fire was lot really late. The pottery was good. But to take home the pots made, they charged 100 per pot, which got cracked within 2 days. The trek was good in the morning. No dosa for breakfast. Just idli, bread, Upma for breakfast. We paid 15000 for a night stay. And the options were tooo little .

We just spent a couple of blissful days at Baevu, and, over every minute of it. It is a true village experience far from the madness of work, school & city life. The rooms were wonderful; old school decor, "Thotti Mane" designs that were just charming and the rooms/bathrooms were spotless. The service was attentive & the entire staff did a great job with our group of 10 (ranging from the elderly to a 6 year old). Every request was taken care of promptly & with a smile. The food was delicious; while it was simple fare, the food was healthy, tasty & plentiful. We loved all the activities, especially the morning trek (Thank for being an awesome guide Suresh!) & the sunset tractor ride (Thank you Ambarish!). If you want to disconnect from your busy lives & feel rejuvenated, book a stay at Baevu for a few days!!!

Gone there with my family, reservation and other procedure was smooth but after reaching the property we thought we could have avoided it. Resort Concept is good but no entertainment there, its was quite boring for us. On top of that the manager Mr. Senthil was not at all corporative, was very rude behavior to all the guest and was smoking continuously at the premises. At dinner time we went to him for a request but he was drunk and avoided us by just walking away from the restaurant. Anyway we will not come back or recommend this property to anybody.

I had been with in-law`s family. The resort is couple of kms off the main road. If you don`t have a SUV you have to be very careful in driving to reach the place. The hospitality is excellent and the staff are helpful. The food is amazing and very local (raagi mudde, roti, chapati etc) which i found is very tasty. there were lots of varities in buffet. The rooms are very clean and nostalgic. Rooms are distant from the main office. The staff mentioned there are no phone signals in the area so one get disconnected from the routine daily chores. However since the rooms are distant from the staff in the event of any emergency one has to rely on destiny.

Excellent stay.. Rooms are in traditional style.. well thought through Friendly staff.. Borders Reseve Forest.. Trek to top of nearby hill was great. Food is from homegrown organic vegetables and fruits. Food is good. Overall good experience

Absolutely beautiful Eco resort at a picturesque spot, under the mountains. The cottages take us straight back to the olden days, with the construction done with Eco-friendly bricks and stone. The interiors again resonate the olden day Indian house theme. There is no TV and hardly any mobile connectivity. For someone who just wants to disconnect themselves, this is THE perfect spot. Food is light and they use local produce mostly from their organic farm. The staff is very courteous and understanding. Overall full value for money.
