Travelodge Derby Cricket Ground

First room allocated and the tv didn’t work but staff kindly moved me to another room. Unfortunately the next morning at 8:30am there were workmen in the corridor replacing the ceiling tiles so there was loud hammering, drilling and sawing. The hotel manager refunded me 1 night stay but I don’t understand why they would use the rooms if there was repairs going on. Leaving the room I had to step over paint pots and tools.

We stayed here the other day. We were staying in Derby and we decided to stay another day and this one was the cheapest. Its about 15mins walk awaynfrom the centre but it has aircon, which made a big difference especially leading up to the summer months. It was only for one night, but had a nice view looking back into Derby. It does overlook a busy road but we heard no traffic at all. The room was fine, desk, 2 chairs, extra pillows, hanging space, mirror, tv, kettle and tea and coffee. Bed was comfy and the xtra pillows were nice as i tend to sleep with 2 pillows. Blackout curtain did its job in the morning, although we were west facing. Shower and toilet was clean, nice shower actually. 2 little problems. 1 the bottom of the blackout curtain was dirty, probably just needs a wash but was dirty and the duvet cover had an hole in it which wasnt a big deal at all. Generally, the hotel was clean and quiet. I can not comment on the food and drink as we did not eat but the breakfast is an add on for £10.75 (May 2025) There is a car park, however, I do not know if its paid parking or not. There isnt much around the hotel in terms of food options or things to do. But it is around 15mins walk from the centre of Derby and they do have a restaurant as well.

Loved the view and there was a cricket match on !! Staff great, very helpful and obliging. Free parking on your door step. Would use this travel lodge again and recommend it too.

I have stayed here regularly and always find it clean and comfortable. The rooms have air conditioning for when its hot in the summer. Marie and the team are always helpful and polite. Great restaurant available and a good sized car park. It has excellent views of the cricket ground if you like that to. Keep up the good work!

I’ve stayed about 10 times this year as I have work in Derby but I am still living in london. The rooms are always clean and the staff team always friendly.

Great stay, in a very good, clean and comfortable hotel. Brilliant value for money and lovely staff. Highly recommend
