Hotel the Stamp

There’s much to like in the hotel although the predominance of purple decor in my room would not have been one of them. The positives. A decent room price (I stayed in a deluxe), the well stocked and free mini bar which was a life saver on an unusually hot May afternoon and the rather lovely New Zealand lady at reception. The room was a decent size as well and the bed would raise no complaints. But then there’s the hotel decor. Trying to decide exactly what the theme ii it something of a head scratcher. It also jolts from one thing to another. The static in the carpet in the corridor will build up an unpleasant surprise for you when you go to press the metal call button of the elevator. It’s also a maze and the steps from the second to the third floor are no fun with luggage. In the morning the breakfast was unusually busy for 7:30 a.m. - corporate visitors it seemed - so perhaps that isn’t a regular occurrence. The included breakfast is fine, with coffees made for you but the food selection is unlikely to wow. There are other issues, my TV would switch on with sound, but no picture three times out of four. And then there’s the wifi code - to save you a call to reception it’s on the back of the door. Decent wifi, centrally located. It ticks enough positive boxes.

Just spent the last 5 nights at The Stamp hotel in Den Bosch.... genuinely could not recommend it highly enough. Less than 5 mins walk from train station, it's located in the centre of the city Rooms are comfortable, bar is well stocked, but it's the staff that always make the difference . From first check-in with Jenna, this was a tailored stay. Andrea, the main reception boss went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay for my work colleague and I, and no request was too much trouble. Normally I don't bother writing hotel reviews, but this place and it's staff deserves a special mention 👌

Het water werd afgesloten voor het hele hotel (25 kamers) omdat op één kamer een douche defect was. En de service daaromheen was werkelijk volkomen onprofessioneel. Geen 24uurs contract met een loodgieter. Geen communicatie erover, we moesten het zelf maar ontdekken en contact leggen met Roy van de receptie. Hij reageerde defensief op onze terecht vragen. Bv wanneer het water weer aangesloten zou zijn, geen antwoord. Hoe gaan jullie ervoor zorgen dat we niet in de stank van onze eigen uitwerpselen moeten slapen, geen antwoord. Wat wordt de fin compensatie hiervoor, geen antwoord. En zo meer geen antwoord op kritisch vragen die IMHO logisch voortvloeien uit de ontzegging van de meest basale menselijke behoefte: water. Uiterst zwakke positionering in het contact. U kunt een paar 0.2ltr flesjes chaudfontaine krijgen, en een karaf water om een poging te wagen uw poep weg te spoelen. Dat was de strekking van de service. Werkelijk van een ongekend laag niveau. Hey hotel heeft een bijzondere look, maar het mensen die er werken zijn niet tot het uitvoeren van hun taak in staat: voor hun gasten zorgen, ook bij een calamiteit zoals waterverlies. Bovendien, als ik nu toch bezig ben: veel last van je het geluid van stapvolk buiten. The Stamp staat op de één laatste plaats in mijn hotel historie. De laatste plaats gaat naar een appartement eigenaar in Italie, maar dat is een ander verhaal. Zwak zwak zwak.
