Perry's Ocean-Edge Resort

By far the best place to stay in Daytona. They have done a fantastic job renovating the property and rooms. Large rooms with 2nd room kitchen. Views were great and beds very comfortable. Bonus was the wonderful donuts for free every morning. I come to Daytona annually and this will be the only place I stay.

The location, room and amenities were great but the staff puts Perry's above the rest. The donuts at breakfast were a treat, the outdoor pools overlooking the beach were clean and perfect temperature. AMAZING 3 DAYS!

This is our 4th year visiting Perry's with family; we absolutely love it. There can be updates to parking and the ventilation for the inside pool but we love the staff and the atmosphere.

Older resort-could use some major upgrades. Pool lounge chairs are hard plastic-not comfortable at all. There was very limited parking. On our last night, we were forced to park across the street.

Do not book. Just trust me. Don’t book. First: we arrive at 4 to check in. We had 3 rooms. Our luck we got the worst room of them all. The AC was broken. We spoke to the front desk and they stated they couldn’t move us rooms, and they would send maintenance. We got the run around that there were no more rooms in the area we were staying (Garden) so I said ok are there other ocean front rooms available and she said I will have to check but maintenance was coming. I said (frustrated at this point) so if maintenance can’t fix the problem are we just sh** out of luck. She said yes. Needless to say I had to walk away. I get it, these people have got to deal with angry customers all the time I assume because the place is terrible. Ok, AC got fixed, we were happy but we also had an issue with the door that we mentioned and they assured maintenance would handle it. Mind you, the door wouldn’t close unless we locked it. That is both unsafe and inconvenient because now we can’t leave anything in the room due to this. Waited around (and who the heck wants to do that on vacation) no one came. My daughter stayed in the room because she was tired and we decided to just go try and enjoy the pool. I got a call from my daughter around 9 saying that all of our food was barely cold ($250 worth of food for the week) so I said well maybe it’s just not had time to cool off (she was referring to soda when she called) we let it go. The rest of our party staying in the other rooms showed up and we stood around and talked soon it was 10:50ish and we came in. I should’ve expected it at this point but I go to open the fridge and everything is room temp. So, we call front desk again from my personal phone because the room phone doesn’t even have a dial tone. They come out and have to replace the fridge. So at this point the ac has been replaced, the fridge has been replaced and the dang door is still broken. So i speak to maintenance and he says that someone was called in to look at the door but he doesn’t know what happened, then proceeds to tell us it will take a long time to fix that door and he can send someone in the morning. We are currently still here on our first night so I will update you on what happens there. When maintenance leaves I start to put groceries back in the fridge, throwing away what is not safe to consume at this point, while doing so, I see that maintenance left a rag and knife on the counter. Upon further inspection there are dead roaches all in the rag from what I assume was used to assist in removing the fridge. I am so furious that we spent $800 on 4 nights to just deal with this bulls*** I couldn’t give this place less stars. You mine as well find a crap motel because this is very comparable to that. The location is good and both other rooms looked fine at first glance. BUT WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT STAY IN ROOM G4 If you can, avoid this hotel at all costs. Awesome stay anytime of year! 3 pools, 1 heated and indoor, and a large jacuzzi. The room was clean, comfortable, and with a well-equipped kitchen. There's a tiki bar and daily fresh made donuts. It's directly on the beach and close to everything. I've been coming here for many years and will return again!
