Renaissance Daytona Beach Oceanfront Hotel

What a beautiful property! We stayed two nights for a romantic getaway. If you want beach, pool, and sun there’s plenty. The pool is gorgeous, shaded cabanas are available, and there were plenty of pool chairs and umbrellas. The atmosphere is very adult. There’s nothing to attract children - if you’re traveling with your kids, you have better options. We really appreciated that the pool bar was covered, so no worries of getting sunburned while sipping on a cold adult beverage and enjoying lunch. Our room was immaculate and had a spectacular view of the ocean. If you want the best view, upgrade to the Ocean Front Suite - the room was oversized with a huge shower for two and a wrap around balcony with unobstructed views both north and south. I was too busy having fun to take many photos, but I did snap the views from our balcony. We left the patio door open a bit during the night and slept to the sound of ocean waves - heaven. The room had a king size Goldilocks bed - not too hard and not too soft, it was *just right*. The Cast & Crew restaurant is great. They serve a nice, but limited, breakfast, lunch at the pool bar had lots of salad and sandwich options though we ended up choosing smash burgers both days - yum, and dinner was exceptional. We had a wonderful experience and we will be back!

My Mom and I were traveling thru VA for a medical appt in Washington, DC. We were having a rough trip so far, everything seemed to be going wrong. As soon as we checked into this hotel, it was a lil slice of bliss. We both were pleasantly greeted by the front desk, check in took 3 mins and was so easy. We enjoyed 2 free alcoholic drinks and snacks during happy hour and the free breakfast was outstanding. I got a custom made-fresh omelet that was delish. Mom was too tired to go out for dinner so we ordered in and the salmon and broccollini were SO good! Mom had a chocolate torte and she said it was the best she's ever had! Our room was very spacious! The bedroom and living room were two seperate areas which was nice for a lil privacy. The couch was so comfy I could've slept on it. The beds were perfect! Soft but firm enough to not hurt your body, pillows were better than my home pillows! The atrium/lobby was stunning with glass elevators. Everything was gorgeous and everyone was friendly! When we have to travel to Washington again, this will absolutely be a place we stay again!!

My family and I loved our stay! The interior is gorgeous and we had a great view of the beach from our room. The restaurant was very good and all of the staff was so friendly and accommodating. The entire place was clean, comfortable and spacious. We look forward to staying here again.

I really enjoyed my stay this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our corner beach front room was well appointed and the views of the ocean were beautiful. The pool area was fantastic and it really felt like you were at a resort on some island and not in Daytona. I loved having the ocean front bar and restaurant right there conveniently located next to the pool so you never have to leave! Can’t wait to return back next year.

Rooms are nice, but hospitality here is terrible. We are currently staying here, and I would not recommend. Almost every interaction has been rude and short. Case in point - we waited for 20 minutes to be acknowledged at the bar, and when another guest noticed, he called out to (Savannah?) to tell her. Savannah proceeded to get an attitude and say she “sees everyone, she’ll get to us.” Then left without saying anything to us. In other words - we didn’t complain or say anything at all, but her friend saw us and tried to get her attention - and THAT pissed her off. After being ignored a while longer, we just left, lol. Petty and unprofessional.

The staff was so incredibly helpful and outgoing. They were so helpful and kind, that they made me feel like I was doing them the favor by staying there and asking them for the help I needed. I felt honored and even important. Zaraphon at the front desk, got us checked in and assisted us in getting the best room for us. My two sons were with me and he made a point to connect with them, which made them feel important. The ladies at the pool bar were so great as well, sorry I did not catch their names, they were so busy helping others for me to catch back up. Also, one of the girls, who I think was part of the wait staff, I asked her a simple question about if the tables under the ceiling near the pool were a part of the restaurant. She could have simply said yes and moved on with her job of carrying a tub of dishes but, seeing that we were sitting at the pool, she said “Yes, that is the restaurant area, but if you need anything from there we would be more than happy to bring it out to you. She explained that it was just after 4 and pool service had closed, but she’d be happy to bring anything we ordered out to us”. Every level of staff member I interacted with treated us with the same level of professionalism, courtesy and kindness, even the valet guys who literally jogged to get our car treated us this way. This doesn’t happen by mistake, service like this is purposeful from the top down. Keep doing what you’re doing, we will be back. Carl
