"The guesthouse was absolutely gorgeous, decorated in a minimalist style. The materials used in both the hard and soft furnishings were top-notch. They even had a Dyson hairdryer, and the bedding was wonderfully comfortable. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered stunning views of the Blackwater River, including the mountains and fields. Occasionally, you could even see boats passing by. I must also mention their breakfast and afternoon tea – they were plentiful and exquisite. The housekeeper was incredibly professional, providing impeccable service, patiently answering all our questions, and even helping us with our luggage. I was a little worried before arriving, but the experience far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!"

He kindly dropped me off and picked me up at the Detian Waterfall tourist center, and then spent a considerable amount of time helping me book a driver out to the Vietnamese border the following day."

"The hotel facilities are okay, but there's a bar downstairs that vibrates from around 10 PM until 1 or 2 AM, shaking the entire building. I called the front desk and asked if any other guests had complained. The front desk said many people had complained, but there was nothing they could do as the bar wasn't under their jurisdiction. The hotel should at least provide earplugs by the bedside, or ask guests about the risk before check-in."
