Takdah Heritage Colonial Bungalow No. 12 (Double Bed Room)

Nestled in the lovely tea garden estates of Takdah and 1.5 hours drive from Darjeeling, is this beautiful heritage bungalow from where one can enjoy the views of the idyllic mountain region. Most of the bungalows in this area are over a hundred years old, but we have been restored back to their previous glory with upgraded modern facilities for guests. Guests looking to venture out and explore the areas nearby can head to the sacred monastery Dechhen Pema Tshoiling Gumpha located beside the Mata Durga caves. Apart from this, there is Rani Kothi (transformed presently into a church), tea gardens like Runglee Rungliot, Takdah Tea Estate, Gielle and Namring. Dokan Dara (the local market) and the Durpin View Point are another two sightseeing places within walking distances of the bungalow. Our bungalow boasts of the grand living room with fireplace, beautifully decorated intricate walls and vintage furniture. The rooms here come with hot water geysers, well furnished western style bathrooms as well as an English styled porch where one can spend evenings watching the beautiful verdant greenery around. The food served here is completely home cooked with the choicest local ingredients. One can even choose between continental fare or pure English breakfast in the morning.
