Cedar Inn

Hospitality was superb. Excellent behaviour of all the staff. Food was excellent. The staff is always ready to go the Extra Mile. Consistent and standardized hospitality. Would love to visit again. Kudos to the management. The property has been very well kept.

We had a truly memorable stay at Cedar Inn this month. It felt like a slice of nostalgia, as the property had a ‘heritage’ feel, with lots of cosy and comfortable nooks to sit and relax in. The rooms were very well maintained, with a generous supply of drinking water, fruit, extra pillows and good quality toiletries. An array of books in bookcases and beside sofas was an inviting sight. While the geyser had to be used judiciously, given the need to conserve water in all hill stations, we had no problem getting adequate quantities of hot water for bathing. A special word of appreciation must go to Mr Sanjay Nangia, the GM, a gentle and dignified person who seemed to be everywhere, leading his team by example and making every effort to reach out to his guests and make them feel special. We saw him speak to various groups and individuals from Mumbai, Tamilnadu, Kolkata etc, and each received the same levels of pleasant and courteous interest from Mr Nangia. His team followed suit, and we were taken care of very well by Mingmar, Apsana, Robin, Arjun and the various other staff on the premises. Special touches like offering up a cup of Darjeeling tea on the terrace, advising us on our sightseeing plans and getting us fresh momos with dinner ensured we felt very welcome and valued. Excellent hotel, amazing staff people, you feel like home and taken care of. Perfect location to view the Mountain Range. I had a perfect stay and I will come back for sure this year. Mountains are waiting for us to see them 😃 around Darjeeling there are plenty of things to do as well.

Some places leave you with beautiful photos, but a few rare ones leave you with lasting memories — and for us, Cedar Inn did just that. Our stay was not just about the scenic beauty of Darjeeling, but about the people who made us feel truly welcome and cared for. A sincere thank you to Mr Anup at the restaurant, whose warmth and thoughtful service made every meal feel like we were dining at home. Ms Sneha and Mr Dipen were patient and kind right from the start, guiding us and making sure every little detail was looked after even before we arrived. A special mention for Mr Dipen and Ms Apsana, who were always smiling and so eager to help, no matter the time or request. And our heartfelt gratitude to Mr Sanjay, the General Manager, whose leadership reflects in the way every member of the Cedar Inn family treats their guests — with heart and grace. Lastly, we are very grateful to Ms Neera, the HR Head, for her personal warmth and genuine thoughtfulness that added such a personal touch to our stay. It’s the people who make a place special, and Cedar Inn will always hold a special place in our hearts. Looking forward to returning soon and reliving the beautiful experience all over again!

We had a lovely stay at the Cedar Inn 3 weeks ago. The ambiance, the stay, the staff were way beyond our expectations. It was a pleasure to have interacted with Mr Tenzing Wangpo, the Lama. If we ever visit Darjeeling again our stay will be at Ceda Inn, without a doubt!! Thank you Cedar Inn!!

The property is a beauty! The stay was most hospitable! The best experience with friends and far from the madding crowd and when we wanted to experience the nostalgia of the old Darjeeling we went to school we could with shuttles readily available! Mr Nangia was the most gracious host I have seen in a long long time ! Unforgettable!
